I posted a topic about 2142 on my clans forums, and one member came back with something very interesting. If many of the unlocks are important for different kits, ie the defib unlock for assault to be a medic, how the hell are tournaments like TWL etc going to work? Do you think they will allow unlocks? Or will unranked matches automaticaly have all the unlocks available? :hmm:

Its a question that never crossed my mind, until a member said about it :D

good point...but I think that you can only unlock through a ranked server and everything you have unlocked can be played unranked/offline

not sure if Im right however...

I'm assuming that unlocks will be allowed on unranked servers, because if they just gave them all to you on unranked servers then who the hell would play a ranked server and work for the unlocks?

I can't really think of any other way they could doing it...

I was thinking about this a while ago... I would think that they wouldn't allow them unless all unlocks are available.

I would just imagine that TWL/CAL will be very role specific. Since it's relatively easy to unlock one full class, I think you'll see clanners have one competition specific account that only has the unlocks for one kit. It could be any number, but I think they'll cap how many unlocks an account can have and be part of the league. That will be part of your tactics from match to match is deciding what mix of kits to take. You can of course use any kit in a match, but you'll only have the unlocks for your prefered one.

Just one thought.

One of the devs said they were going to make so that the teams competing would both have either a set number of unlocks to choose from, or all the unlocks.
