Well, EA bought DICE and it said that DICE would be a "fully integrated EA studio dedicated to growing the Battlefield franchise and developing new products for the PC, next generation consoles, and other new platforms."

I guess that "growing the Battlefield franchise" means more games and expansions. The article also mentioned BF2142's Oct 17th release date.

And they already owned most of DICE, anyway.

That article was from today. The old news was their intent to buy out completely, you know, whatever they didn't have already... *Shrug* The article is more about that it finally happened after 7 monthes.

Lol this just means EA will be filth rich as they make tons of 'booster packs' man those things are annoying, they're like MODs but u have to buy em. But as long as people buy em, EA will make em

I'm pretty sure there was a press release on EA's forums stating that the buyout would happen "first week of October." It's old news to me, but maybe not to other people.
