Sure - cuz I have no idea on how to either... I'll probably go buy the card this Friday after school cuz I'm so busy right now.

I believe that there should be some directions on xbox.com on how to set up Live, but I won't be suprised if it's over 2 pages long of useless, hard-to-follow directions... lol :p - Not saying anything bad about Xbox, because I'm a big microsoft fan, but just saying it might be.

Hopefully it's as easy as set up a gamertag and play, but I got a funny feeling it won't be... :rolleyes:

Lately, it seems that microsoft is trying to specialize everything so you can't just go to Best Buy once, if you know what I mean. You have to buy all this stuff just to get the whole package working.

Oh well, I'm the kind of guy that likes to figure out how things work as I go, so I'll find out some more info later on. Anyone who has got clear directions feel free to post here or PM me anytime... lol :nod: I have a feeling that The_Eliminator and me are going to need a little help. ;)

I've been dying to play Live for the longest time and my friends have been asking me "when are you going to get Xbox Live?" My usual answer was, "I don't know." But finally I get to! ;)

I remember getting Xbox Live maybe once before using a free 2 month card that came with a game. I checked to see how we got it working and, if you have a long enough cable, do exactly what kodak just said.

Yeap, and it gives better connection than with that wireless thing. I used to play Live, but it was too much of a hassle to move my modem around (the good TV is in the basement) - so I never really got into it.

If your current cable isn't long enough I'm sure your local computer store has some cheap ones.

Don't want to spoil your day The_Eliminator, but I just got my Xbox Live working last night and I played Call of Duty 4 for an hour or so and made it to the 5th rank! It's totally off the chain! :thumbsup:

btw, I went to the IGN site to get a key for the Bad Company Beta, and unsuprisingly, they're all out. I don't know why I didn't think about it before, but no doubt everybody wanted the chance to play, and so I won't get to... :( But hopefully I will see you and others on some other games like Halo 3 and COD4. I also have all the splinter cells, but was pretty dissappointed with the Double Agent multiplayer gameplay and style... :|:

I assume he just directly connected his cable modem into the ethernet port on the 360 - then it allows you to register for live.

Yup, we never had Live before but we figured eventually we might so we asked the mechanics to wire a system through the walls so that it connects to the modem, just like K0daK suggested. It's pretty easy to do by yourself, but you have to have a longer cable - depending on where your modem is. Of course, this process was done by professionals who wired everything in our house when it was being built... And this was like 5 years ago, so I am overly excited I got Xbox Live finally! ;)

Let me know if you need more help with directions on how to connect your Xbox to your modem and then I'll check to see how ours was done... If not, buy the wireless thing. If you decide to go with that, then definently buy it online - it'll be much cheaper! :D

We got MGO beta. What unfortunately has been postponed until "English UK: 04/25/2008 24:00(PDT)"... That's Saturday 10AM for me...

And the reason for this was that Kojimas servers crashed because they didn't expect that many people to login.. :laugh:

Running out of Xbox Live time isn't the worst case scenario... But don't worry i'll tell you what it is... :D

Ok, so you have been tester in the beta(and spent lots of you live time). And when the game is released, you wait in Midnight sale(if that ever happens). You get your copy, and go home, insert disc in. You are all excited about the game and then this happens:

IMO betas isn't good experience ever.. It's just change to test the game before the release.. If you start to think about it. It just gives you headaches, with all the bugs, bad features etc...

The Beta just finished like a few days ago, but I never got in it, but i will make sure to download the demo once it comes out! :nod:

Also, no - it isn't for PC... Which in a way, is kind of bad, because the whole battelfield series started on the PC, but of course, BF: MC and now Bad Company will be on the console.
