The pods are next to the sentry guns and cannon emplacements on the titan, near the hangar bay; there are 3 on each side and they travel quite a bit.

z is default crouch button in mechs. Don't think you can move when crouched but it helps your co-pilot for shooting ground targets.

As for titan assault pods: there's a little ramp that goes up to some chairs that control the guns.

To the sides of these and down, there are a bunch of cylinder door looking things. Those are the assault pod doors. Handy for podding to nearby silos if your comm has moved the titan or podding to the rear of your ship to flank attacks from behind :)

Right click on the rail gun for near sniper accuracy :D . Come to think of it, you can right click in just about anything.

LOL ROFL you hit the nail on the head, in my first game I jumped in the Talon, and not halfway across the map, POW "respawn in 15 Seconds"
It has almost no armor, like flying the Write Brother's plane durring WWII !!!

Yea the Titan assault pods are especially helpful when the titans are close together and shields are down.

You really can kill people by landing on them with the assault pod. I (accidentally) teamkilled 2 people who were capturing a silo because I wanted to see if you really could land on people... Whoops!!!! I didn't really expect to be able to land on them like that.

Are you sure it was the sealed shields at the front of of the titan and not the shields that can be deactivated by blowing the control panels?
(both still glow red or blue.The closed ones have horizontal lines across them.)

Some tips from ingame, some are informative
If you see a "2" next to a player's name, this means they are veterans from Battlefield 2(TM). So, either be extra careful around those vets, or go after them extra hard to welcome them to the future. (30)
In the Titan game mode, you can check the time left until a missile silo launches, by pressing the 'T' key. (93)
Short-winded? Fatigued easily? Need cardio? Get more points and unlock the two sprint ability unlocks. One gives you longer sprint distance and the other one faster recovery. (91)

Its on the sides/in the front of the platform where the helicopters are spawned. There are walkways that go down.

Dogtags are for collection/bragging purpose only. Theres a secret knife unlock you get after... what.. 15 knife kills IAR? I don't remember.

When retail hits an the stats are updating, you an other people can see the # of how many dogtogs you have collected an how many specific # of players you've killed for theirs.

I don't recall if you could see the names of each tag you had...

Droppodding atop vehicles takes a chunk out of their armor, if not destroying them, leaving you perfectly unharmed. You can also land on infantry an kill them this way as well, the stats will actually keep track of how many kills you've gotten from landing on someone as such.

That did not work for me. I picked up an enemy kit then boarded the titan, wouldn't let me through any of the active shields...

Anyway, something I just discovered:
