Why can't I use my Space bar?

When editing my controls I am unable to use my space bar as my crouch button. Ive tried editing my controls before any patch has been installed and after the latest patch has installed and i get the same response. "already in use in common controls"

Please help.

Before you set the spacebar as your crouch button I think you have to set your jump control (spacebar by default) to something else first.

Oh and why do you set crouch as the spacebar by the way? Just curious :)

I.ve always use space as crouch, what u recommend and why. My jump is set to RMB.

You may be able to edit the controls.con file in My documents/Battlefield 2/Profiles/000?/ with notepad to get what you want.
