I'm reading the manual right now.

One thing i didn't understand was that when i got in a vehicle (albeit with a crewman kit) and right clicked, i died. What gives? It was in local server mode.

Happened in a BTR, a lorry, one of the tanks. I just right click and everything goes black and i make a bad coughing noise then die...

Then i have to wait 5999 seconds to respawn :|:

where you in a squad, and where you in the same squad s the driver of the vehicle (if there was a driver?)

As i said, i created my own server so i could mess around on my own, learning things. I was a squad leader. I assume it was a bug.

Odd, are you sure you pressing Crewman kit because i'v had times when i accidently move the mouse just a tiny weeeensy bit and get another kit and have to wait like 4 hours :x

Never actually heard of that one before... Are you 100% sure that you had the crewman kit?:p

Actually, did you pick up the crewman kit after requesting it? You might have merely requested it, it appeared on the floor as a kit bag and you didn't press the key (default = G) to swap your kit with it?

To drive trucks you need to have officer or engineer kit. For armour you need crewman kit.

Although if you reckon you had the right kit and in a squad and got in the armour and didn't see a "server" message saying you needed a kit to operate the vehicle and right clicked and died then that is probably a bug.
