Nobody is going to play the Titan maps if they continue to be the way they are now. I bet that after the first few months, there will only be like 30% of the Bf community playing on Titan maps because of the lag.

I like Sharqi much better than Karkand. Got really frustrating when you spawned and got instantly killed by a tank or APC. Fun, but I like Sharqi better;) Some maps looked to be kinda similar Karkand.

Fall of Berlin, all the conquest ONLY maps are city maps.

I like Sharqi much better than Karkand. Got really frustrating when you spawned and got instantly killed by a tank or APC. Fun, but I like Sharqi better;) Some maps looked to be kinda similar Karkand.

most of the karkand players just hate vehicals or getting blasted by some spawn killer in a vehical. the rest of them are just hardcore infantrymen who want pure infantry combat.

the single map infantry combat servers have always been the more popular servers ever since bf42. close combat and tons of action,having action right there after a respawn and not walking around for 5 minutes before you ever see anyone to even shoot, thoes are the biggest draws. there is a reason pretty much all the top 10 servers worldwide are karkand or infantry

There is however more to BF2 than some think. There are more challenging things to deal with, IO is fun, but is rince and repeat! Same old.

I was defending a flag the other night, myself (team mates got killed) as an Engineer, there was 2 infantry, a tank and a solo chopper.
My priority was the tank, i sneaked round the back and planted a mine (boom) took care of that. Managed to kill the 2 infantry (luckily) shotguns are great in close combat :)
The chopper gave up cos he cant see me, and cant drop the flag, so he fly's off...
So i managed to keep a flag against 4 of the opposing team. To me, that was much more satisfying/fun than just the rince/repeat of Karkand!

Try it some day! Far more satisfying than dropping a gaymore :p

Karkand isn't my favourite map but i know that there is nothing wrong with people liking a map you just happen to not like. Nobody is an idiot because they like Karkand and you don't. Get over yourself.

That sounds awesome. Hopefully it's more intense than Karkand or any other city maps we have had. Balcony battles... i love the sound of it.

i sure am glad to see an actual dice employee inerested in seeing what the hardcore infantry guys think of a few maps, its hard to believe that so many people just cant accept or are too jadded to hear that alot people simply love infantry, they always have.

at FMJ we have run a top 3 worldwide server since bf1942 because we know what the masses crave, fast hardcore combat. why so many people feel the need to flame and rip on infantry guys ill never understand, the absolute best place for any clan to recruit is an infantry server, you get a real feel for a players true skill with a rifle.

the cold hard truth is if someone isnt bitching about jet whores, tankwhores, or now mech whores, they will bich about nade whores or AK whores. i think the problem is alot of players cant accept that dying is all part of the game, its going to happen, learn to deal with it, yelling or crying the method in witch it happend will not help you overcome the situation the next time. learning something from the situation will help the next time, im sorry but everytime i see a player yell airwhore, tankwhoer or nadewhore i know in a heartbeat that they just simply cant overcome a difficult situation and are lacking the true skill or drive that hardcore players poseses.

true, very true, id have to agree but then id add, why dont the guys that get killed 3 or 4 times in a row and are steaming mad with an "air whore" get in the AA? i see AA sit unmanned 10x more than i ever someone using it. even if your not gonna kill the j10 they can at least scare him out of the area with the lock tone.

the same with the guys that yell "nade whore", now dont get me wrong again, i know there are guys that just sit there on the alley of kakrkand tossing nades, i see it al the time but the ones they kill are the guys that keep on spawning there, pick the next closest flag and snipe the nade tosser or even charge him with assault, just disrupt him, heck, take commander if no one has it and arty him or ask for arty on top of him if someone already has it.

i do understand the point, i may have been quick to judge but in all honesty i see so many people yell "this" whore and "that" whore everyday ive kinda grown numb to it. i just have a feeling the guys doing all the smack talking in the game and most boisterous in the name calling about whores just arent concentrating on the task at hand when its game time, the quiet ones are the guys to watch out for, heheh.

Do people seriously not understand it when others say "karkand maps?" They want a map that is dominated by infantry and not vehicles, they want a map where everyone gets to do something and not just those with the most powerful vehicles, they want a map that is intense. I would like to have a Karkand-like map because I enjoy having to run through a barrage of bullets. I enjoy hearing explosions all around me as I try to find cover. When I played Karkand for the first time, I couldn't even raise my head above the USMC machine gun post by the artillery without getting shot at. I want that kind of intensity.

Moreover, Karkand maps even out the playing field; everyone now gets a chance to actually do some playing and not just the fliers and the tankers. That's why they're fun. And if you play with a group of people who work in squads, then the map truely shines bright. I like asking my guys to provide covering fire while my medic runs over to revive someone who just got killed and I like digging in and having my guys hold out to the last man against overwhelming attacks.

Now, if people don't like maps that are infantry heavy, that's fine. But there are people who DO like infantry maps and I for one hope that there are maps which require lots of infantry.

The first time I played Karkand I was hooked...I'm not a vehicle whore at all...when I do play BF2 it's IO mode only...I don't crave to sit in a jet or helo...I crave to run from spawn to spawn and meet up with as many enemies as possible...I'm in an infantry man...

Just because people love Kark doesn't mean they aren't well rounded players...and no you wouldn't own me any map.

But i enjoy infantry based maps.
