Pistol and Knive Upgrades?

Just wondering, but does anybody know anything about a pistol or knive upgrade? I remenber reading a forum about a guy on the beta sever a while back. He thought that he got a new knive, but could not find any information on it.

No pistol unlocks but there's a Dogtag Dagger 2000 that you can get if you have superior knifing skillz, it’s more an Easter Egg than an unlock as it just looks different but still works the same as the regular knife.
