Dear Total Gaming Network ,
I am writing this thread in hope that it might solve my problem.
What's the problem ? You may ask , well here it is.
http://img174.imageshack.us/img174/4357/problemgz4.jpg
This error occurs when I try and install BF2 , my version and CD-Key are both legit.
I have tried ;
- Manually Installing BF2
Which does not work because both data1.cab and data2.cab are corrupt (when tried to be opened in WinRAR.)
- Manually Uninstalling BF2
Tried unistalling with regedit and with Installshield Wizard.
- Ran a CD-Checker
Getting CRC (Cyclic redundancy check) errors on both data1.cab and data2.cab
My CD has a few straches , couple of meduim size stratches ... so i've tried toothpaste , warm water , anti-static wipes , but still doesn't work.
Lastly my specs are as follows :
Intel Quad Core Q6600 @ 2.4GHZ (B1)
2GB Corsair XMS2 RAM
Samsung WriteMaster DVD/CD Burner
Gigabyte Motherboard
320GB Hard-Drive
Antec 900 Case
430 W Antec PSU
22" Samsung Monitor
I am not willing to reformat my computer , because i am running an OEM version of Mircosoft Windows XP (PRO).
Any help would be greatlyappreciated ;)
Cheers , deathdoG.
