Battlefield 2142 Extreme Realism Patch 1.7

Our own member Dtneter (http://www.totalgamingnetwork.com/main/member.php?u=19581) has released an update to his mod, Battlefield 2142 Extreme Realism. Here is what he had to say:

Good day everyone, Im happy to inform you guys that Im finnaly done with patch 1.7

You MUST have V1.5 installed as base then patched it with 1.6 before installing 1.7.
Fail to follow these instructions might cause the patcher to give a unknown version error

To play, download the following 3 files:

Something's wrong with those download links. The file for 1.5 and 1.6 have the same name.

Ok, just downloaded the file that is supposed to be the 1.6 patch and it is indeed the 1.5 installer and not the 1.6 patch and I can't find a homepage for this mod or any other sources for it. :(

Ok I have found 1 german download link to V1.6 and please dont tell me that the patcher gives this error when patching it to 1.7

This program cannot update the installed version of Extreme Realism mod 1.7 because of the following reason:

C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\Battlefield2142\mods\Extreme_Realism_mod\Comm on_server.zip: unknown version.

Edit: strange I downloaded all patches from both sites and guess what no error only thing I noticed was that it takes longer to reconize the folder when patching 1.7 but I think best thing to do is just to completely remove the mod from the mods folder and from your waste bin when this problem occurs

I have the 1.5 and 1.7 files. When I get home from work, I'll get the 1.6 patch. Have you considered just making a full 1.7 installation? It would save some confusion.

Also, check your PM box Dtneter.

I think i will tonight but im not sure how to go on with it because then i might need to make a patch for 1.7 full install and normal patch hehe.

Its only a prediction lol I watched future weapons to see how balanced the weapons and body armour should be etc.

If you already had the mod but patch 1.7 didnt work? simply delete the mod from mods folder and download the full installer

Good news. I just got a test server up for this mod tonight and Dtneter will be running some tests, so hopefully a new version will be up soon and there will actually be a server online to play on!
