As a matter of fact, I have already pre-ordered it, and if you're going to buy it, you might as well do so now...

It's a great deal cuz, then you also get the sniper rifle unlock code, and you get the chance to download and play the single and multiplayer demo on May 29th, unlike those who don't pre-order it, will have to wait until June 5th. Either way, you can get another unlock exclusive weapon by reaching rank 4 in the demo, yeah... I'm PUMPED!

Well that sniper rifle that you get for preordering is actually worse than the other ones. i know this cause im a fanboy so they told me that the sniper didnt compare to well against the other ones. so really your only getting the demo before other people and a bad sniper rifle.

Your right, it might not be the BEST sniper rifle to choose from but let's take a look. First of all, it's free and anybody can get it just by pre-ordering. (Count your blessings... ;)) It's semi-automatic and very accurate which makes up for the lack of damage that the other rifles posses. But just because the damage isn't at maximum doesn't mean it sucks. It's got an average rate of fire and so it's definently worth it... Just a different rifle made for different situations.

I'm just curious, because in basically every video, tutorial, and interview with the makers, it is emphazised that the gameplay and weapons in Battlefield: Bad Company are extremly well balenced.

Like I said, it depends on your game strategy, tactics, and situation that you are in. Different rifles are made in real life for different situations, and these are real rifles based on the real ones. I'm not saying that they are exactly the same as the real ones though, granted, it's a game anyway, but seriously - the goal in mind was to recreate a true battlefield, which I believe they did.

Only reason I didn't get the Gold Edition of BF: BC is mainly becuase...

1. You're also paying for the 'special' packaging and materials the game cover is made out of... :|:

Well I see where you're going with this and again, it's a game so if you were shot by a semi-auto sniper rifle in real life... Besides visiting the emrgency room, you'd be ready to retire and get physical treatment so you could walk again. I guess, that would be true, if you got shot in the leg... :hmm: and of course, it is very possible that you wouldn't survive.

What kind of snipers aim for the leg? i dunno, but don't ask me. ;)

Anyway, bolt action is just as good, but gets the job done, like you say, in one or two shots, but so can the semi-auto. For example, the barret 50 cal can take down choppers and uses armour-piercing rounds, so yeah - killing a soilder with just kevlar on is no problem, but the other rifle, (semi-automatic) is made for taking down infantry, so again, it could take you down and it's a lot lighter than your barret.

Yeah, the only reason I'm really excited about getting the demo access early and pre-ordering the game is that...

1. I know that eventually I'm going to buy the game anyway.

2. I will be gone all summer, because I'm going to Europe for vacation, and I will leave a day before Battlefield: Bad Company comes out, so when I heard about the demo, I got really excited, and wanted it ASAP, cuz i won't get to play the game until school starts again... :(

But Europe is gonna be way sweet! :D

I gotta agree that Bolt Action FTW!

But Semi-Auto snipers ain't only for noobs. Talented snipers use them as well. They are outstanding when you are in the frontline and there is like 5+ guys running towards you... :D

That's something you left out, but I just wanted to make sure you guys knew that. You won't get the UZI from the demo unless you get the 4th rank.

And yes, you can do all these for free, besides of course, pre-ordering the game. Also, EA has said that the unlock codes will not be mailed out until the week of release. Some might have received their email for the m60 code already, like I did, but the sniper one for sure won't be sent out sometime around the release. I'm guessing it will be before the launch.

Like BrokenMachine said, yes you can, but I would still participate in the Find All Five (http://badcompany.ea.com/page/dynpid/8616/) programs because they're free, and ranking to the top might take a while considering Battlefield multiplayer is focused on the ranking aspect of the game.

So since it's 8AM here and im bored.. I did some checking on those handguns what we were talking about earlier, and it seems that there is 3 handguns available for the Recon class only. M9 for the U.S, .45 for the Russians and some high powered revolver for the Middle Eastern Force(according to Wikipedia)...

And the sniper rifle what you get from pre-ordering, i got pic of that too...

By the looks of the early videos, there is knife in every class...

Im not sure about dog tags...

I know that there is kill streak(5 kills?!) award what is an dog tag with bullet hole in the middle of it... And the other award what i have seen is 2 bullets side by side(meaning bullet necklace).

Im really confused with the whole "pre-order-demo-early-download" thing, since one page says that there isn't gonna be an early access to demo. And EA's site says different... I just don't know anymore... Best way to clear it up is to wait until 29th...

About the silenced pistols...

Wrong... No silencers for the pistols... Atleast there wasn't in the Beta, if they are not gonna change that, then there will be no silencers...

Look at the start.. M9 and no silencer... Don't know if you can unlock one if you rank up, but until that is confirmed, there is no silencers...

Yes, it's one shot kill with sniper rifles(most likely meaning to the head and to the torso)...

Remember that there is no official answer to Mouse and Keyboard support.. So it's best to assume that they don't work in the game...

And the only game what works with keyboard and mouse is UT3...

From Cod 4 to GRAW 2, no other game supports keyboard and mouse(atleast i haven't heard about them).. So i really doubt that this will be any different...

I've even looked into buying a controller compatible with the PC, but unfortunately, just like how most games don't have mouse/keyboard support for the PS3, most PC games don't support controllers... :(

Well what I meant with the joystick, is that like in bf2, i set up my controls where infantry and vehicles are controlled with the keyboard and mouse, while the joystick is particulary for jets and helis. :)

Hmmmm, I play a lot of PC, as well as games on the 360, so I should probably agree or at least know what you mean, but unfortunately i don't... :p

For some reason, I enjoy the controller more but anyhow, whatever works for you best and will allow to live a little bit longer than go for it! :D
