"cannot verify media"

i just bought company of heroes gold edition (retail) today and installed it. When I start it up and it gets past the loading screen it starts verifying the media and then gives me the message "cannot verify media" i've reinstalled the game and have disabled my secondary disc drive but it still wont work. any way to get it to work?

The "Could not Verify Media" is shown when Relic Online is down, or you have no internet connection. To solve this play with the disc in the drive.
