View Full Version : New Sniper Video
This is my first video, comments and tips would be great: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ejkTKTbfavE
I know the image quality sucks, so tips on how to get it from f.r.a.p.s. to youtube in prime state would be nice too. (I imagine most of the quality was lost
during editing, because it was originally recorded at maximum resolution @ medium settings)
Thanks. :)

Not bad, it was changing scenes too quickly tho :S and some of the way it changed scenes were heavy on the eyes(annoying)
Not bad for first vid :)
Thnx for ur input. Sniping isn't that hard, if you can snipe in BF2, you can definately snipe in 2142. The bobbing gets annoying though, so what I do is "quick snipe" (zoom in, pop a shoot, zoom out), that way the bobbing doesn't really get a chance to kick in. ;)
Can't wait to get my hands on the Stabilizer and Uber-scope. THEN you'll see some NEAT stuff :p
not that hard and special! but improving is easy! pretty cool start

I dont think I saw you actually shoot but 1 or 2 people lol.
I'll try that quick zoom of yours and see if it works.
I know the quality makes it hard to see, but if you pay attention to the bottom of the screen you'll see "You killed ____" quite a few times :)
Well sniping looks pretty easy at the moment to be honest o.O;

That's a nice first video. ;) Like Al3x said already, some of the transition effects are a bit annoying though. I think you should of stuck with the first few ones (blur, polarize, zoom out) since they seemed to fit in there. And yeah, it was quite fast-paced, maybe try some slow motion or longer scenes next time? :)
And indeed, the quality was a bit low, but I think that's mostly because of YouTube (they resize the resolution I think?).

Yea they do... but then how come alot of other vids look quite nice on youtube?
Thnx for the input, btw. Next vid, I won't put so many effects :)
For sure I have to make a video with the stabilizer and x4 zoom (when and if I get them), so keep on the lookout for it :D

I'm afraid I don't know. :( Never uploaded anything on YouTube.

Naah, do put effects in, but don't overdo it. ;) Make sure the effects fit into the video and don't take the focus off the video itself. Knowing when to use effects is a skill that comes with time and experience. :) You can't expect your first videos to be perfect. ;)
