I'm wanting the Gold edition for the 360.
Anyone found it available yet (UK version)??
Found the PS3 gold version easy enough but nothing for the 360.
Edit: Nevermind, found it. Looks like it's an HMV exclusive... > Linky < (http://hmv.com/hmvweb/displayProductDetails.do?ctx=-1;6;-1;-1&sku=813773&WT.ac=games-RHTMN-HOT_PREORDER_GAMES-Battlefield%3A+Bad+Company+GOLD+Edition+-+just+%C2%A344.99-813773)

Why order the gold version? waste of money when you can gain all the weapons ingame FREE.

Havockids got a good point.
I ordered regular off play.com, they don't have gold available yet. Plus they are supposed to be participating in the early demo (or so i was told).
Either way, ill get the demo either on the 29th or the 5th. When im at work so it hardly matters anyway lol.

I don't think they are, i ordered mine and e-mailed them to confirm. i got one back saying they knew nothing about the early demo access or the free weapon code..

I checked the BFBC site and if you click pre-order it lists play.com as the only participating UK store.
They had better not be lying. lol.

Thats what i thought. i sent them an e-mail back with the link to the official website pointing them out as participating... i also asked them why they where on there but have yet to have a reply... i think someone has made a huge cockup somewhere and they don't want to admit it

The pre-order with Play.com is for the sniper unlock. The official site doesn't say anything about early access to the demo for Play.com or any other European retailer. It only says EU Retailers to be added. Check the link below.

Ok i got some info about how to download the demo(for PS3), when/if we get it early...
I found this from Gamespot, there was someone who ordered from GameStop and was already downloading the demo( WTF?!)..
Heres what the email says what he got:
"Dear Valued Customer,
Thank you for pre-ordering Battlefield: Bad Company.
To download the Battlefield: Bad Company demo from Playstation® Network, please follow the instructions below:
Your unique code: XXXX-XXXX-XXXX
Log into the Playstation® Network with your username.
1. Select "Account Management" from the Playstation® Network Icon on the XMB
2. Select "Transaction Management"
3. Select Redeem Playstation® Network Card or Promotional Code"
4. Enter the code exactly as it appears and download to your HDD
5. You can then launch the Battlefield: Bad Company Demo from your Game Icon on the XMB
Thank you,

Alright, I was constantly searching on Google for 20 minutes to make sure if anybody who pre-ordered it from the EA Store got their demo access codes yet (Xbox 360) and couldn't find one person... So, now I'm beginning to think that not only do European pre-order offers not get the early demo access, but neither do American offers, unless you pre-ordered it from Gamestop...
If so, I am going to burst into a fit of rage. :furious: Jk, I'll have to think about that one.
:super pissed:

Hmmm... It can't be like that... Since that would be just a big pile of bull:dikkie:
There's 2 hours and 35 mins to go before i make the call... Maybe then i get some clarification to this whole thing...

Alright, I have not been dissappointed at all except for now...
SCREW EA...
A MILLION TIMES OVER!!!!!!
:wall: :cussing: :super pissed: :tantrum: :furious:
Of all the time I had to think about pre-ordering Battlefield: Bad Company, I can't believe I didn't pay attention to this:
Take a look at this link: Click. (http://badcompany.ea.com/page/dynpid/8857/)
Now here... Click. (http://badcompany.ea.com/page/dynpid/8901/)
Keyword that nobody caught:
Participating retailers:

Summary:
ALL EA'S FAULT!!!!
They did not even communicate to anyone at all. Just said, "pre-order it and you'll get the demo..." There was absolutely no specification as to which offers could get you the demo and which ones couldn't.
Yeah, If you haven't guessed it yet... I'm mad. REALLY. MAD.
Screw it. I could care less anyway... Oh and by the way, Thanks EA! You make some of the coolest games, but you have to always find a way to screw your customers out of it somehow...

That can't be right... Since EA's Finnish site said the names of the gamestores what were participating in this thing... And as far as i know, they took that down on Tuesday...

Are you serious? Wait, I don't understand. Let me in on this, you're giving me hope! :)
The most retarted part is, if it's true that the early demo access is only offered through Gamestop and Amazon, then why shouldn't the EA store give out codes as well.
FOR EVERYONE'S SAKE! EA made the game. Let them reward their loyal customers who keep having to deal with the B.S. with the early demo for crying out loud!

This is really getting weird now...
I clearly remember reading about the news in the EA Finlands site....
It said that people who pre-ordered the game from set retailers will be given access to the demo early...
And i think it was tuesday when they edited the message saying that the demo will be out on the 5th...
Deflex
05-29-2008, 05:06 AM
Wait, I'm still not grasping what you're saying quite yet...
I understand that on EA's Finnish site, EA themselves stated that people who pre-ordered the game from set retailers will be givin early demo access...
But the question is, what are the "set" retailers...
And I'm dissappointed but I'm afriad the answer is Gamestop and Amazon. Either way, I'm still super pissed at EA, cuz it was not in any way, shape, or form, made clear to the public...
But what I'm not getting is that you say Tuesday, EA edited the message saying that the demo will be out the 5th of June? Wasn't that confirmed before hand for those who didn't pre-order it?
StoneCold313
05-29-2008, 05:11 AM
The set retailers were just bunch of Finnish gamestores...
It was basically the same like in the BF:BC website... Pre-order from these places and you get early access to the demo...

Dang... This is terrible, I hope somebody from EA sees the frustration on this thread that probably is happening on every site that has a forum dedicated to Bad Company... Shame, shame...
I should of known... But because I got started late in the Battlefield series (bf2), which was the first game I purchased by EA, I didn't realize that they would really screw up like everyone else knew they would...

I'll betcha there is, and I'm not even going to bother looking.. I got on google and searched for info on who got the gamecodes and whatnot... In the process I came across endless amounts of people all upset and angry. Even more than I was...
So we're not the only ones... ;)
I'm still really mad.

This is what I'm hating about the communication here...
http://common.ea-europe.com/_buried/fafcode-r3/text-preorder.png (http://badcompany.ea.com/page/dynpid/8616/)
So I click on the link where it says pre-order and than you'll see this:
http://badcompany.ea.com/page/dynpid/8857/
Does it say which ones are participating retailers? NO... :shakehead: Just a list of ALL the retailers... Just my luck that I happen to choose to pre-order it from the EA store... I'm sick of this whole thing... Like it matters where you buy the game... Everyone should get the demo.
EDIT:
Alright well I just got on Xbox Live a second ago to even see if the demo was available... My guess is that a prompt will appear when you attempt to download the demo, then you use the code to get access to it... But no, the demo is not even available yet, as far as I can see. I searched for it for a few minutes, and I'm positive that the demo is not even available to Xbox 360 players yet...
I will check now to see if maybe, by any chance, if I got an email with a code, even though the EA Store was probably not a participating retailer...

Alright, I have regained hope somewhat... I just discovered that I can most likely get a refund from the EA Store for my purchase of Battlefield: Bad Company, and then once the product shipment cancels, (hopefully) then I will pre-order it from Gamestop, and see if they can still shoot me an email with a demo code, even though it's already May 29th...
The problem is, that I can't guarantee that EA will refund my purchase, because the refund terms says if you're not satisfied with your product, you can refund it within 14 days of your purchase or something like that. I purchased it on May 13th, and so that means that I'm two days late...
But there is no formal refund log... In fact, all I have to do according to the refund terms is just send an email the EA Store and ask for a refund on a product. So therefore, I should just give it a shot... After all, I don't see any reason why I shouldn't try.

Christ, why does this sort of thing ALWAYS happen?
I remember a similar fiasco when it came to the 2142 beta... or something like that. How come the release of ****e titles, like Haze or Turok, usually go without a hitch?
****ing sods law... *grumble grumble*
