Karabiner 98 Kurz Scoped Mod Released [Archive]

Community member Zeroy has released a new mod today for modders that adds a Kar98 to the game. Check it out:

New weapon Kar98 imported from IW Call Of Duty 2 - This is the scoped version. This modded weapon is intented for use by Advanced Modders/Mappers. All required files are included. There are also 2 optional Materials/IWI included to replace Hud and menu icon if required. As it is the weapon's file has all its firing values based on the Remington 700. Feel free to adjust! The sounds are from the remington 700 also as there were actually quite similar.

Doubtful. But many people played and loved the "rifles-only (non-scoped)" servers from previous COD's and MOH's, and the existing models from those WWII weaps are probably the easiest to put into COD4.

YES! Exactly! That is one thing I miss in CoD4. I don't always want to use a sniper just to use a rifle. I've resorted to the g3 as it's the closest I can get in this game. I've also gone back and played some CoD2 b/c I've missed it. MoHAA was the best!

I'm not a modder so I don't know how hard it is to do, but I wish they could just take the existing sniper rifles, remove the scopes, and put (build) ironsights on them. That would be just fine for rifles-only, IMO.
