well i dont rly like the demo gameplay that much cuz ur either a sniper or a engineer to get rid of the tanks!

you never really shoot ppl with an assualt rifle. i hope its much better in the actual game like a no vehicles option ..

You can play assault and support too...

But those two classes are at it's finest at the end of the map where the real city starts...

And in the earlier parts, Snipers and Demolition guys are most deadly. Just because of the map being so wide open..

And im sure that there will be some serious CQC(city) action in the other maps of the full game...

No offense, but its a BF game, they generally involve vehicles. If you want infantry only, then there are plenty of other shooters out there that do that.

Like Stonecold said, Support and Assault really come into their own when you get to the city and CQC takes over.

And i find Assault/Support to be viable options even at the start. Use cover wisely, don't try to take on tanks with the GL and only move when its safe to do so. Plus, stick close to a AT guy or watch a snipers back. Teamplay really opens the game up.

Well I think the problem you are having is that your team is just bad. If you are playing with a good team then they should be able to neutralize all the armor threats pretty easily and then support/assault are needed to clean up infantry.

I didn't really like the gameplay when I played my 1st match but then I loved it. I use recon, demolition and assault the most.

Why can't it be both. BF2/2142 did it. Having both inf only and vehicles gives you a nice choice. Sometimes i feel like having a good squad battle which means IO Karky and at other times i feel like vehicle whoring. It's not like the two affect each other.

luls, Tank_Man has a problem with the tanks and wants IO.... classic.

Methinks a name change is in order.

I really love people like this... What do think a BF game will be? they always have had vehicles in them since 1942, it's what makes it a BF game and not COD.. the whole point is that different situations call for different kits to be used and you master the game by learning when to use each kit... and if you only buy the game hoping that they will add IO then you don't really want the game to start with...

I hear what your saying, and i personally think BC's infantry combat is great, but i never personally played IO that much in 2/2142. Its a BF game, and like Killfest said, vehicles are part of the gameplay that makes it unique, its the combined experience that makes me like this series so much.

I guess the option couldn't hurt tho, like you said. They are adding Conquest in a patch, so its not unreasonable to hope that an IO mode will get added as well at some point.
