Game freezing

Recently company of heroes started freezing for a few seconds at random, usually when i moved to another side of the map. It would drop from 40 fps to around 3 then jump back up again. I don't think its the game settings causing this because i also tried running the games at a lower setting, but the game still froze. The freezes aren't serious, but they make it incredibly hard to play. all drivers are updated for video card, etc. any ideas on why this is? thanks

You also have the latest patch? Whats your system specs?

Yes i had the latest patch. It turns out my specs were to demanding for my ram, so i had to turn them down a bit. Game still does freeze but its not as frequent. Specs are 2 gb ram, AMD dual core 3.0ghz processor, 250 hdd, ATI raedeon 3850 512mb, asus m2n sli 560 mobo. hmm think thats it.

That PC should run CoH fine, lol my old rig has an 85GT in it and a P4HT and its running on high settings.

it does run it pretty well, everything on high and ultra almost but my ram isn't so great, so i had to turn down the AA.
