Pre-order from shop not internet...

There's the one and only Gamestop which I've seen in Barcelona. I asked when the game was going to be out and it was the 26th. They told me that it was better pre-ordering because it gets big when a game like this one is out. So my question is, can I pre-order it from there and still get that stupid weapon unlock just like if I had got it online? So, will the weapon unlock code come with it? Cause in a way it's easier to me to pre-order it there than on the internet.

As far as i know, i think you have to get it online from a participating shop to get the code. Otherwise it just remains locked.

Depends how big you are on sniping, as the unlock is the QBU-88 rifle.

You never know, once the games out an easier way of unlocking it will surely surface.

It's that I don't know if to pre-order it or not and I thought that maybe you could get the weapon pre-ordering from a shop directly instead of pre-ordering online.

Im not sure about which shops got the deal where you are, you might wanna check around some of the bigger online stores, as they should tell you if they have the code.

Play.com seems to be the only one here in the UK that got the pre-order code deal, and they make a point of telling you they have it. So im assuming the same should go for whatever online shop you use.

If not, just got for whatever your more comfortable with. I'm afraid i cant offer any other advice than that.

I don't know where you guys have gotten this "US/UK only for the sniper unlock" info... But it can't be right...

Since the gamestore where i pre-ordered my game already has the sniper unlock code and they are sending with the game, to who ever pre-ordered the game.

I don't know why the BC page shows only UK/US retailers, but as i already said, it isn't that only UK/US people get's the sniper code...

I ordered the game from this Finnish gamestore, it's called DiscShop...

When i called to that place(like a month ago), they said that they are clearing it up with their EA contact. After a while the message appeared to their site saying basically that "we got the code, everyone who pre-ordered the game will get the sniper rifle"... And they even have pic of it in the site...

I think I'll try and pre-order from a UK retailer and I'll probably get the games sent cause Amazon is on the list and sometimes I get stuff from the UK Amazon. So I might try that one.

Don't you get the sniper rifle when you reach 24th(or 25th) rank?

If you do, i don't think there is really a point contacting the EACS robot answering machine about it... :D

You get a sniper rifle, but not that one. The one you get is from the Gold Edition.

Crap, there aren't any other UK retailers. I'm gonna try getting the Gold Edition from Gamestop even if it's USA. I'm sure if I create an account there and write all my information down I'll be able to get it. Even if it's a US retailer. But, can I be assured in getting it?

Why don't you pre-order from Play.com? They have the sniper unlock thing, and i think that they have international shipping too...

If i would be you, i wouldn't risk that the game does only work in the US servers...

No joy, as of yet. But I guess it's still only early-morning for many places in the US... Play.com better send out the codes soon... I'm cancelling my order as soon as I get sent the code for the rifle, and just going into game on the day of release... I'll get it sooner that way and still get the unlock code :laugh:

Drrapid, you should've done what I did for the demo code and pre-ordered from Gamestop, and once I had the demo code, I cancelled my order. The only snag is that the codes were region specific, ie. I had to have a US PSN account to use a US demo code.
