When I first saw the mini-game at http://www.titanengage.com/ I was flabbergasted to hear a more futuristic remix of the original BF1942 theme (which sits along the "Rice Krispies" jingle as one of those songs that gets stuck in your head out of love for it).

Please give us the original music with a remix. Please, please, please!

it needs a battlefield theme mix somewhere.

There's only a tiny, couple second reference in the main menu music and only at one point =(

It was awesome to hear it again in BF2 after being missing from BFV. I'm saddened it isn't in BF2142 =(

I like the music from BFV better.

They had a remix of the 1942 Theme in the BFV Official WW2 Mod that DICE released. Would be nice to see something based on the 1942 theme come back in 2142.

i like the 1942 original version with no modifications at all. everytime someone remixes something they just make it worse (so many 80's songs ruined by remixes :( )

I completely agree, the first thing I thought when I loaded up BF2142 on that first week of beta was "WHERES THE THEME?!", left me rather disappointed.

Battlefield just isnt Battlefield without some mix of the original song. >_<
(thats why BFV didnt do as well as 1942 or 2 =P)

Yeah, I miss the original music as well. When I first played 1942, I heard the best menu music in a game ever. And that still applies. ;) The WWII mod remix wasn't bad imo, but the original is still better.

I think a 2142 remix would be very nice. DICE, give us the original music back! ;) Or do we have to make a mod for that? :D

Sometimes after the game loaded in 1942 I wouldn't click "READY" for a while until it got to the part with the trumpet.. that part sounded great and got you in the mood.

agreed, hopefully Dice stuck it in there somewhere with a futuristic twist. The intro from BF42 was the best in the series, really got you in the mood to fight

Ohhh yeah, man did that theme get you in the battle mood, I would constantly find myself watching the starting to 1942 and (as said above) wouldn't hit ready so I could listen to the song.

Hehe, I actually have the theme on my winamp playlist ^^

action seemed to be a little random but I liked the battlefield music.

Should've kept it through the whole thing or have it play a bit at the end when the titan was about to blow :P

EDIT: And I loved that first beat with the dropships coming over the cliffs. Reminds me of the klendathu drop from starship troopers =D

I love the intro! Now we just got to hope they used the 1942 theme somewhere in the game itself as well. ;)
