Just discovered the UK release is the 20th. I'm gutted, I was so looking forward to grabbing this on the 17th.
Oh well, just thought I'd post my woes :(

Easy for you to say as you do not have to wait. The waiting is not really the issue it is why we have to get it after other people else when those who bought off EA downloader paid thier money at the same time.
Fair enough on the retail due to the logistics but everyone on the EA downloader who pre-ordered should get it at the same time.
You're kidding right? So the NA/USA region is getting it at the 17th and we in Europe the 20th? atm. it says "6 days and 12h" on my EA Downloader countdown(I live in Sweden btw, the game is frekin produced here we should have it first if anyone ;p)

If I get it i'll be waiting afew weeks after release and see if it's another BF1942, BFV, BF2 release and full of bugs it sure is looking that way as most of the bugs in the demo should have been found by the beta testers and were not so I'm hopping they get fixed in the full release.

Actually as one of the beta testers (tuning beta) several of the bugs that exist in the demo were reported, some by myself. If EA/DICE did bog all about it, it's not the beta testers fault.

It's nothing to do with EA or dice. Europe - or at least I know Britain - releases new titles on friday so we have to wait till the friday no matter what the release date is.
Euros who bought it off EA downloader won't be able to get it earlier than the 20th either.

This does not apply to the EA Downloader though. they should not have to wait till the retail hits shops.

same here, the battle walkers bugs for exemple were alredy in the beta and ppl told dice about them , and they are still there...

From reading this forum as far as I understand the US get it on the 18th now (from the front page)..... where as if you pre order with the ea downloader or from a place like gameplay etc you'll get it on the 19th.
I mean correct me if im wrong but its not exactly a big wait if thats the case.

Well with the EA downloader the people in the states get to download it at 10am on the 18th which is 7pm UK time, we get to download it 6 hours later at 1am on the 19th. I guess this is a bandwidth issue to prevent the servers crashing. I do remember when HL2 was released over steam though and everyone around the globe got it at the same time.... maybe steam has had more money thrown at it..

Thought that was what the pre-load is for.
Honestly it's an EU regulation, all computer games HAVE to be released on a Friday in Europw (and after the US release) ... or the French truck drivers go on strike or something :p

They really need to stop with the seperated release dates. It does little but encourage piracy :<

...and here's me thinking it had to do with the fact that the Americans aren't good at online games so they have to be given a headstart before they can play against the Europeans without looking like n00bs (or should that be n0bs?)...:laugh:

Yeah EA downloader of mine says i get it on 1am 19th, Though i've been informed its illegal to let people play these games before their offical release date... but who am I to argue. Besides its really only one day... sure nobody cares that much, not as if the entirety of UK servers are gonna be up on the 19th anyways.

All we need is an official word from EA then everything would be fine.
When do the UK EA downloader users get the game unlocked and ready to play? And of course, those who ordered from etailers who often get the games out early, will they be able to play?

i get it in 5days 4hrs and 30mins!! :D:yay::D yes i got it off EA downloader so i get it sooner :D
does this mean all the servers will be in the US until the 20th? i dnt wanna start with a ping of 150+ :( think of how crap my stats will be!!

In which case it shows Dice are still as slow as ever in getting bugs fixed, so to which I still stand by I'll be waiting until after release (afew weeks) to see all the complaints/praizes before even thinking about buying it.
And I apologize to the beta testers that did find and report the bugs, I should have known with dices recored for fixing them that you guys did your job and it was dice thats let the side down yet again.

I am from the UK and my EA Downloader says 5 days and 2 hours till release ???
This means i will get the game on the 18th like the US but iam confused ??
Need some information from DICE or EA...

release was pushed back to the 18th in the usa.

In UK all games and DVDs are released on Friday simply coz we are bunch of lazy twats who would call sicky next day if game comes out mid week... I think goverment knows us well enough :D hahahahaha

i get it in 5days 4hrs and 30mins!!Well, my "countdown" timer on EA Downloader just jumped from 6days and 2hours to just about 5days (all I did was reboot my computer and it changed for some reason) - could we get clarification on this please EA/DICE ?

Yeah mines changed too but only by an hour, was counting down to 1am and now its counting down to midnight..... It's probable then that its gunna change again before thursday night.

DVD'S are realeased on monday's at least where i live they do any way but ye games only come out on friday's:D
