View Full Version : How to Twist eject to attack Titan attackers from behind.

As you all know, there are a total of 8 ejection ports to the right and left of the AirBay on the Titan. Some of my squaddies use them when we pull the titan up into battle to eject on top of missle pads or to get into really odd sniper positions.
Oh it also makes a great attack if the titans are close because instead of taking an aircraft you can eject right on them. Scares the pants off em.
However we found a new use for them. If you enter one and look to the rear of the titan and alt-eject you can twist back onto your titan to drop on the upper rear platform. Once there drop into a tunnel and camp the enemy running into the cargo bay. With support and that lovely light machine gun you can mow them like a cheap carpet. :D

Hell, I haven't even figured out how to use the Titan eject seats. How do you?

Go up to one of the ejection doors and hit E.
Oh, the doors will not work if your titan is about to detonate. :p (I was looking for a quick escape. )

There are 6 ejection ports.;)
Anyhow good tip. Unless the enemy uses the same route and knifes you right in the torso.

Whups. Could have sworn there was 4 per side. oops.
Oh yes, I killed one guy 5 times and then eventually he knifed me in the gallery overlooking the cargobay. Of course I was back there in minutes and killed him as he was running for the gen.
He was less than pleased. (He would have made a trucker blush with his language.)

Aaaaaw, why'd you have to go and reveal my secret. I've singled-handedly beaten back many titan assaults thanks to this.. Also, If the enemy is in your reactor room, don't go in through the large rear doors, flank em by going through the console 3 and 4 corridors. You'd be surprised how many people ignore you when you do this.

If anyone couldn't figure this out in like 2 or 3 rounds of titan play, they're a major Uber Noobicus Maximus.

I figured it out in my first round of Beta by watching other people. Observation is an aquired skill nowadays.

I've done it a couple of times. It's alot faster than running down the ramps and then into the corridoors. Thanks for the tip.:D

Isn't that kind of retarded? Why have escape pods if you can't use them to escape? (Yes, I suppose they can be used for other methods, but usually when a sci-fi ship has pods like these, they're used for escape.)

Where do you find the ejection ports on the titan?

I still have a hard time getting the pod turned 180 degrees...I usually miss and then I'm stuck on the ground cursing that I can't get back up to the titan to lend a hand.
Is there a tip to ensure that you always turn around and land back on your own titan?

Yes.
Before ejecting, make sure your "pod view" is looking directly back toward the rear of your titan. When you eject look down and spin to the right or left (depending on which side you ejected from ) this will help you get your bearings so you can use the W A D keys to manuver.

Whack up your 'Land Vehicle Sensitivity', you'll have no problems then.

If you land your pod on top of any enemy air transport's you will destroy them. Just make sure to start running afterwards or you'll be blown up with it.

@OP ... DUUUUUDE YOU RUINED THE SECRET!!!:mad:
I consistently got 30+ kills doing that with sniper kit! Now every n@@b's going to know where I am! :p
Can't we apply some sort of 'good-tactics'-NDA?

Figured that out in the demo and I was DEMOLISHING the Titan attackers. Not to mention that you can land on any Hovercrafts that might be on the titan and destroy one of their "spawnpoints."
I love those pods. I've taken out tons of Doragons just hovering around my Titan like that. :D

I'm not sure why you guys are twisting the pod to land on your own titan. Twisting on launch almost always makes the pod uncontrollable. Just fire off the pod with your default view (the way you're faced when getting into it) and just hold down the 's' key. You'll launch straight back, with no spinning, and on your way down you can strafe your pod into any position you like.
So remember...
- Default view
- launch pod
- hold down 's', or whatever you've mapped walk backwards to.

I'm missing the point of this trick. So you can get on top of your titan with this pod (same as with airtransort?!) So what the big deal??

It's so you can spawn on your titan and flank the enemy team that's boarding your titan from the rear. It's helpful to get into the top duct system as well as to destroy enemy transports.

How does the spawn point actually work on the Titans? Is it from the air carriers on the deck, just wondering as I had a great game this morning of constantly spawning on the titan and then crushing using the escape pods all over the map but since then Ive basically been unable to spawn back on my own Titan again (but there was a lot of air campers about).

It's the area overlooking the cargo bay. You can't get to it from the rear of the Titan, it's only accesible, afaik, from the top ledge. The ledge is located behind the turrets and in front of where transports usually land.

the pods on the titan olso are exelent weapons, i once killed around 3 guys in one pod hit, an APC and a tank were next eachotehr and i landed right in between, both blew up, also when you hit infantry they die to, doesn't work whith walkers tho, you just sit on top (the AA gun can hit you there)could be usefull whith C-7

Dropping pods onto transport ships is a quick and easy way to destroy their ability to spawn reinforcements from the deck.
