good vid with some great shots... I usually don't like frag vids with the in game sound and music running together.. This one was the exception.:yay:
At parts it sounded like the gunfire was part of the actual song.

ok let me tell you there is this one person on my buddy list and he was talking to me and we were discussing what computer hardware we both had....

he had a an overclocked q6600 with 2 radeon 4870 cards basically his computer was the same as mine and he usually has similar ping but sometimes he tells me "sometimes when you are on the other team you will just spin and look at me and i die in 2 shots" or "how did you kill that many people at one time?"

im not in any data center like you are saying after moving 300 miles out into the middle of the desert and getting a new computer it has only gotten easier to kill people.

sometimes there is bad hit detection on servers but why would i show that in a frag video i said that before. with you living in europe and things being a little closer together i dont see what would be going on to give you "lag"

i think ill just record some playing today and i can post a video right here not like a frag vid more of just a vid.

You sort of hinted at one possible cause of the problems. You're 300miles out in the middle of nowhere... so in that case how many people are on the same WAN/line as you? I live in the middle of a city in a heavily congested student-area with at least a few hundred people all on the same ISP as me within a tiny radius. Contention ratio is borked, and as such get massive packet loss occasionally.

Someone in my clan is the only person in his area on his line, and he has a 50mb connection (as far as I'm lead to believe, one of the first to be introduced in the UK) - silly hit-detection all the time because he's not sharing his service with anybody.

Might be something to do with it, might not be since as you say, any parts with bad hit detection aren't likely to go in a video aimed at showcasing your abilities. I did fraps some STUPID hit-reg moments the other day though, including point blank herzog into someone's back not even bringing up the hit-indicator.

Netcode and hit detection = ftl.

well i live in an apartment complex ina city of roughly 80,000 people but yeah its probably true enough

yeah i kind of feel the same way i dont really like recording video because first i have to drop my fps from 100 to 60 and then i get this really annoying bad hit detection sometimes yes like shooting herzog at some stupid support player shooting a ganz at me from 8ft and i hit him with 2 body shots before he even opens up

i prefer to NOT record and have better fps. better combo lol

which is why gameplay competition on the internet is sometimes shaky because of these issues and the only way to see things truly and fairly is to play LAN or something.

hmm yeh tru but i have never seen hit detection and stability that high ina vid befor, you wouldn't know what i eamn because you obviously don't experiance it ...i dunno man , yeh you posting a vid of your normal play would be nice, don't pick the best recording just pick any old one

yeah i was playing a bit today im going to put together some footage with some of the dynamic lights and shadows turned up so it looks nice and i was going to have some of that for a frag video i think but then i will record some tommorrow and just have a regular play type of thing that i will post in here
