I've been thinking about why Crytek would make a new Crysis game with basically the same story, just with a different main character... Don't get me wrong here, Psycho is badass and I'm sure the full game will be great. :D It just seems like a way for Crytek to squeeze out a little more money out of their customers before moving on with another series of games.

Which in turn got me thinking, wouldn't it be awesome if they focused more on the multiplayer this time? I seem to be one of the few people that didn't think the MP was bad, even though it can't compete very well with other top titles.

Something search & destroy - ish? Maybe?

I posted in the Warhead preview trailer section about my thoughts re Warhead being a rather cynical attempt to squeeze some moolah outta players without really progressing the story.

Seems they didn't make as much money from the original Crysis. That is a shame considering the obvious amount of work and development that went into producing the game.

I think I will be buying Warhead unless it gets really awful reviews plus there is supposedly a new MP mode. Not been disclosed what it is yet but something midway between DM and PS.

Maybe their just trying to squeez some money and give something new(so it wouldnt just be patches to version 1.99) to fill the time between Crysis 1 and the development of Crysis 2...

EA fails.

This should be an expansion at best. New weapons, new area of the Island, updated engine, etc sounds much more like $20 expansion/booster pack than a whole new game. O_o

I might be persuaded to buy it, however, if the mulitplayer is greatly improved. My favorite multiplayer style being large BF2142 maps, Crysis just wasn't the same. ;)

Oh here's the fun thing: Crytek isn't working with EA anymore - unless they've gotten a new contract which I highly doubt - this is all Crytek's fault.

Maybe Crytek are just maggots?.. or maybe they HAVE actually designed it so people with a computer NOT from a galaxy far far away can play it.. maybe they felt bad.. Either way im going to wait and see what the reiews are like before i go wasting another $120.
