It's all duck and dodge for me. When your in a one on one, always keep moving. Stop and start randomly, and strafe side to side if your position allows it. You'll find it's quite easy to make others miss. And take time to aim your shots!

I have been testing this 'new' tactic... So, once i get into tank, i first place myself behind cover(house for example). Then i hit gas, engage the enemy. And then i reverse back to cover to reload.
Ain't exactly the best possible tactic, but it has worked for me... Last night for example, i parked my tank behind destroyed APC. Then popped out from cover to shoot enemy tank, reversed back to cover. And the enemys tank shell was stopped by the APC. Once i reloaded, i finished off the tank with another shell... :D
Haha, using cover always works too, its part of the duck/dodge part. :D

This is basically the best thing to do. Youd be suprised at how many people in other tanks just stay in the same place and try and shoot you. Also you should be able to figure out when they will fire again and so make your movements just before this.
Yea, thats another thing, base your dodges on when they are going to shoot, or the time it takes them to reload.

Im not a big fan of the MBT's, but i do love the Light tanks, especially the Stalker2T.
You can literally run rings around the aforementioned "Sit still and shoot" tank pilot, as you can move quicker than he can spin the barrel i find. Sure, in a straight range fight your pretty much already dead, but if you can catch them up close and panic them, then just paste them with the 30mm while circle-strafing them.
Will give the bigger tanks more time tho, they just feel like giant coffins to me atm.

What makes them such a big target, is what makes them so useful. ;)

What about some anti-tank tactics? :P
Step 1.
Lay down 1 part handful C4 onto road
Step 2.
Find a bush
Step 3.
Wait....
Step 4.
....wait...
Step 5.
KABOOM!
+20-50 for you.
Or you could just stick anti-tank mines there, and then just go away. ;)

Sure, they're lots of fun to use, but they don't get you much stuff.

My tactic if im in a tank and in a closed area i drive into the middle of a building that what sniper missiles cant get me and then i simply pop smoke jump out and repair between the wall and the tank.
