Will it be necessary to uninstall the BF2142 demo before installing the full retail version of the game? Might be good to know before installation. ;)

I'd say no, as the folders and registry contain 'demo', so all the demo settings and files could easily sit along side the retail version.

Although, not sure why you'd want the demo taking up space, when you'd have the full release.

No, they are seperate completly.

You will still have you Bf2142 demo files/folders and shortcuts

Then all the BF2142 stuff in a diffrent directory with new shortcuts and things.

ide uninstall because its the demo.....and what that guy said, kinda pointless when you have the Full version eh

Yeah, I think I agree. No point in just wasting 1.1 gig when I won't be using demo ever again anyway.

ddint think of that, ive decided not to buy bf2142 now....because of that pic of that agreement (sticky thread)

It's not necessary but I uninstall it though. Don't know where I need the demo for if I have the retail.

No I am NOT installing a pirated copy and am quite offended by the notion. I am buying it as soon as it hits the shelf at Wal-Mart. I just wanted to know because I don't know if installing the retail over the demo would cause weird issues and cause the game to not work properly. I want to make sure I don't do anything that screws up my computer. I am not going to illegally steal 2142 because I believe that is wrong. I'm just asking a question to ensure the stability of the game and my system.
