Long loading times in full version...

Hi there, can anyone able to play the full version yet confirm, that the loading times are as long as in BF2? Gamespot told it in their review, but i would like to hear it from someone on these forums.

I had already known the load times would be longer in retial then on the demo, but I still expected it to be abit quicker.

Map loads should not take longer as nothing has really changed there has it?
My maps load in like a min for bf2 and less then half that for 2142 demo.
I guess the client data check is bigger?

Ok, that´s a point. But in an interview they once said, that this verifying client data thing won´t takes as much time as in bf2. But now gamespot says that it all takes so long. Hmm, spawndemon played it. Would be nice to hear from him.

Even the maps may take longer to load, thats when the game loads all the texture data and stuff. More weapons and stuff = more textures and effects (I belive it depends on how they coded it)

So u all don´t have it yet. Hope to get my copy in two days. It is Tuesday in Germany and we will get it on Thursday. Amazone, pls, send it ou earlier. Ahm, wich font do i have to install to view your name?

How much longer? Is it still much faster then BF2 or will I have to go back to single map servers?

Its an old engine what do you expect. Only way would be do a new engine and then the game would not be out for ages.

Well Dice/EA have kept quiet about it so I guess it's going to be longer than BF2 as there's more weapons / textures + the Microsoft spyware ad system.

I couldn't be bothered to play BF2 half the time because of the ridiculous wait times.
