Once people start getting the fourth level unlocks, is it just me or does anyone else think that driving a vehicle/aircraft is going to be gawd awful hard?
Not only will you be running from all those little mines whipping out after your butt, but you will have to deal with that darn engie rail gun as well. Might as well call that the Engie sniper rifle.
Not to mention that alot of engies will be sporting the AA launcher. So you have to dodge AA guns, lock on missles from BFR's (Big Flupping Robots) AND any engineer looking up.
Only vehicle I can see being worth it is the high speed buggy running nitro. Out run everything and bail fast when all those rolly mines whip out after you.

Yes, vehicles are going to have it hard. I fear the walker will go the way of the dinlosaur. I know I'm going engie.
I guess that will make engie killers very desirable. It will be interesting to see how it all balances out.
Yea, once every 4th person has the improved AT tools (rockets AND mines), another 25% of your people have Detpaks, and about half of your team is carrying EMP grenades - it's going to suck to be a vehicle operator.

In BF1942 you had effective AT with no beeping sound, C4 that youd could hide well and no one would see, and mines that you could instantly kill a tank with if you dropped it on it. Tank drivers did fine then, I think they will do fine in this.

Hmmm, better have unlocks too for the vehicles, so u can make them tougher.
Better shield, driving faster, faster guns, heavier rockets, ....
So u can choose them as an unlockable and then when u enter a vehicle, a voice tells u: 'vehicle upgraded'
Good idea?

But powerful AT abilities were isolated to 2 kits out of 7. In 2142, both types of recon players can grab detpaks (after only one unlock), both engineer tracks include mines and/or enhanced AT weapons, and Support players get EMP grenades.
i.e. Those anti-vehicle tools will be far more common. And by the way, if your shield is up and you get hit with an EMP, your shield drops. At least it works that way with the gunships.
Don't get me wrong - I'm no vehicle whore. I'm just saying that there are many more threats out there aimed at vehicles than there have ever been before. It will be far more common for the average infantryman to be able to deal with vehicles (even if it's disabling them) compared to BF2, where only 3 kits could effectively do it.

First thing I'm going to try when I get the detpack is to put one or two on the back of the knees of some walkers. Wait for a victim and blow the legs out from under him as he walks off.
