Not the shaders, Googling for the PR.exe mismatch didn't help.

Also is it true that the higher you FPS is, the shorter the suppression effect is?

Unfortunately, yes.

You did a piss poor job at googling btw:p

I'm not getting kicked for shaders_client.zip. I'm getting kicked for pr.exe mismatch.

Do you use PR.exe to start the game? What does the "target" thinggy say when you go to properties of the shortcut you use to start up PR?

C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\pr.exe" +modPath mods/pr +menu 1 +fullscreen 1

I moved it out of the mods/PR folder since it would work and moved it to the main BF2 directory. Is that my problem?

Yes....

Dont mess with files;) Try to move it back or reinstalling.

Okay, now it's "C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\pr\pr.exe", and I've moved PR.exe back to its original location.

Now I get
http://img253.imageshack.us/img253/469/prfailri4.png

Botched installation (I patched form .7 to .75)? I've played a few rounds on a Al Basrah server fine, but every other server seems to kick.

Make sure "start in" has this:

Windows vista: "C:\Program Files (x86)\EA Games\Battlefield 2"

Windows Xp: "C:\Program Files\EA Games\Battlefield 2"

My shortcut line looks like this.

"C:\Program Files (x86)\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\pr\pr.exe" +modPath mods/pr +menu 1 +fullscreen 1

If you have windows Xp:

"C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\pr\pr.exe" +modPath mods/pr +menu 1 +fullscreen 1

If that doesn´t work then there are some threads on the PR forums that I can have a look for.

Forget it, I've lost interest in PR. It's becoming too much effort just for a bit of fun.

Just reinstall the whole damn thing and dont mess with the files...

It was like that when I patched to .75. I started up pr.exe from it's original location and it gave me the same error that I just posted.

I've already lost interest in PR. :|:
I have America's Army on my computer already installed, I guess I'll play that instead if I feel like a realistic game (plus no annoying suppression effects :yay:).

I think taking away the APC spawns and spotting really made me lose interest in PR. Irl you can point to a location, much easier than trying to say it over VOIP, why can't you even spot with the right-click spot menu? And isn't the whole point of an APC to deploy troops from?

fail... these things have been discussed 100x

spotting sucks, it was just spammed and was rubbish, one guy saw some people and the hole team know instantly there exact location and where they are moving. use voip, its easy.

APC's do deploy troops, set a RP then pill in and there u go apc, before the were not used as fighting vehicles there where used as dump in a ditch so the whole team can spawn on it.

IRL you cant "point" in random directions and suddently know that theres a sniper in that bush without actually seeing him.

in 0.6 APC werent used as transport or used for troop support. They were used as spawnpoints. APCs were either driven solo, or ditched in a err, ditch.

If you want spawnpoints, build them.

Damn gazz ninjaed me

No not really. But I'd have to thank PR for rekindling my interest in America's Army. :)

And btw, AA does implement suppression, when bullets are flying over your head, your accuracy drops a bit. And it still has a minimap and crosshairs, before you say that's unrealistic, you can't "feel" a weapon with just a mouse, and the minimap only shows people if they're in your line of sight or if they report in.

^^Deviation when being shot at in impossible in PR AFAIK. :(

I said right-click spot. At least read my post right.

Why not just tell your LS where the guy is over VOIP?

Ah quit complaining about engine limitations and just tell everyone who plays PR to donate a few thousand dollars and buy a license for Unreal 3. :)

Might aswell buy the Bf2 engine then eh?

Lol btw, when it comes to the Bf2 engine, heres a quote from a PR DEV:

CAS_117;636370']Ok, if you have ever tried to code anything with EA's spawn of satan, you will share my desire to march down to LA and burn their building to the ground. If you like it you're either insane or have never tried to code anything with it. Its used for PR because... well anyways, it blows.

EA can lick my dice.
