So, after all the threads of preloads and in-store purchases, and pre-orders... IS ANYONE ACTUALLY PLAYING THIS GAME YET?

It's the great mystery over all else. I heard they can play it but it still not tracking scores but I'd be interested in the whole story also. At least it would make me less annoyed about the preload EA downloader thing

I dont think the stat servers get turned on till tommorow. Every store i went in today said that the game shipped today meaning it will on the selves tommow.

But is it ranked?? cause i talked to my clan owner and he said that he cant setup the server yet... so i am wondering if EA has its own ranked server and if so would they allow people that werent supposed to have it yet...

we i can play but only for about 5 mins at a time and i got 3 points. there are servers up and there ranked but this disconnect s h i t is screwing everyone up that preordered from EBgames

The ranked servers shouldnt be up until tomorow at about 1 pm EST...at least thats what another post said. So maybe thats why all the disconnects...they havent opened it up for everyone yet so the master server is probably overloaded. Just play Sp for the time being.

well i would say its cause they are playing. Don't you think if all these "problems/spyware" were really causing problems, we would hear it from the people who are playing the real version? The only people i see posting about the game are the ones that have not played anything but the demo and the others that make pointless post and pointless post about how the game sucks or how much EA sucks.

I was playing earlier but I was getting disconnected after about a minute or so of play.

I've been here posting all day about the probelms with retail. EBgames people got there preorders today and today WAS THE OFFICAL RELEASE DAY, thats why i have my copy and i cant stay connected for longer than 5 mins. The wonderful world of the master server sucks. And i'm not the only one with this probelm everyone that tries to connect today gets disconnected after 5 mins or so. hell i even saw some DICE people on there and it happened to them so they know about this problem and i still haven't seen any posts about what the probelm is or when it's going to be fixed.

I'm still waiting for my EBGame's copy of BF2142. I saw UPS down the street and watched it drive away from me. So, I'm still waiting :hmm:

Thats $100 Aussie bucks. Comes out to around $75 U.S. (still way overpriced, but slightly less so).

Still waiting to see how v1.01 turns out before I commit my moneys to the EvilAmpire.

Isn't the problem the same as that what occured when the demo was released, simply unable to cope with the demand. And as technically not so many people should have the full version they haven't set it all up yet.

I ordered from gamestop(which is pretty much the same thing) and they said I wasn't getting it till tomorrow :(

Sure I'm playing...for less than 5 minutes at a time. A bunch of people are getting constantly disconnected similar to what was happening with the demo.

maybe this is just there way of making sure everyone gets to start playing it at the same time :P

I would think that the Official time for the ranking system to start would be after the EAD allows people to DL it!

Seeing as it is from EA, you would think that the Official release is the 18th Noon EST (USA)

I know one thing. I will be installing it the second that the timer hits 0.(since I already preloaded it) And If I go into a server & see people with many ranks ahead already, I will be PO'd!

It will probably end my support for EA as of then!

LOL so now i know why they made up those n00b-servers, for everyone who pre-ordered their game. dude don't you worry, you won't even be able to connect to the servers with the people with many ranks ahead already.
ea really takes care of everything except their product and their customer

You probably won't, i'm still with 40 points at Private because I can't even get 1 minute into a game without being disconnected. I don't think anyone has ranked up significantly yet.
