I’m trying to enter in my soldier’s name from BF2…but it says it already exists. Ok, I know it does…now how do I get it back? :confused:

Note: I'm using the exact info I used to log into the demo.

ok, so you logged in with your EA account, then tried to make a soldier with the name you reserved, correct? if so, something went haywire...

actually, now that i think of it, if you still have the demo installed, see if the soldier is still there. this might be why.

If you delete the soldier, it'll say that all stats, unlocks, etc. will be deleted along with the soldier name. delete the soldier in your demo and it will probably work in retail.

keep in mind that i don't have the game yet and i'm just guessing

actually, now that i think of it, if you still have the demo installed, see if the soldier is still there. this might be why. and no, deleting the soldier will not free it up. it just takes it off your list. i deleted a soldier in beta, and when i created a new soldier with the same name, it just pulled all of the stats back and didn't let me start fresh. nice if you lose your profiles, bad if you wanna start over with a certain name.

EA/DICE should know about this, and since official release isn't until tomorrow, they may be waiting until tomorrow to delete the demo usernames to be used in retail

Yeah, I entered my EA Account name then my (reserved) player name from BF2. It said it already existed (oh course it does....but where is it?). :confused:

I nuked everything from the beta already, so I can't check it.:hmm:

The Bofors BB gun also doesn't seem to show up in game and the it seems everyone is getting DCed from the EA master server every couple mins.

I hope you're right about EA/DICE knowing about the problem(s). Guess I'll try some single player. :)
