Since the begining of hte demo, I haven't been able to play. Like many people still, I constantly get disconnected from the master server. I've done all the usual tweaks to no avail and I've talked to ckmc about it quite a bit, thus far we still don't know what's causing it.
Given that I can only play between 5 and 20 minutes, is it even worth buying when it comes out tomorrow or should I wait till it's all cleared up and likely to be at a cheaper price? =o

Buy it. It's a very fun game, you'll love the new toys. It's already up there on the charts w/ BF2(number of players). Lots of action everywhere ingame. Start now so you can unlock the basic ones.
I just played for 4hrs straight w/o disconnects.

I dunno man.....the same thing happened to me when the demo 1st came out and then it just started working. The only problem I have had with retail was the old "Theres a problem with your connection" but I am pretty sure that the server was restarting or soemthing.

Well in my experience the ones who had problems with the demo's/beta's are usually the one's who have no problem with retail most of the time:D
I had some problems with the demo as well but i will be out early in the morning to pick this game up;)
You have 2 options
1. wait 2 weeks and see how the problems are doing :D
2. take a chance and buy the game;)
Either way the choice is your's but you get no where in life without taking chances so take the chance it might pay off:cool:

My local tesco's sucks, probably won't have it =.=
But then I'd only play it for an hour anyway before I sleep and I get a free rank if I go to game... Then instead of waking up at 12 i'll get up at 9 =oP
So it works out about even

I wouldn't buy it
I am very mellow and even handed but it is a laggy piece of buggy crap.
I test software for a living and if I had released something in this state I would be fired

I live in scotland but we have tesco here. I might check it out tomorrow for prices. If it's pretty cheap (less than 30 quid) I might go for it but all these problems are kinda putting me off ^-^;
I have confidence they'll be sorted out eventually but not sure I want to go through another 1.3 if you know what I mean :P
Guess we'll see tomorrow =D

well, i guess almost everyone in this forum will tell you to buy it :).
I'm Chilean and played the demo for a week and yes, i had connection problems in the first days, but latter it was solve. I really enjoy it and I'm sure it's not the best map of the game.
It's not the technical rev in games. It's more a BF2.5 . And that's GREAT.
If you really like BF2 and want new maps and new things to play with, you should buy it. It fixes a lot of gameplay issues i didn't like of BF2. And SP it's a little more fun with the customization options of maps to play and IA.

I know, I played the beta version and I know I like the game.
It's the ongoing master server problems that are making me think twice :P

Well, I haven't had any master server disconnect problems since way back in the first week of the demo.
If you like it , I say buy.
