The Field Upgrades?

Can someone just answer my question about these for me, i know how you get them, by working in squads or giving out commands as SL, but how many field unlocks can you get? If you were to stay on the server alnight in the same squad would you be able to unlock and try everything? or do you lose the field upgrades at the end of the round?

Say i unlock the RDX demo pack in a field upgrade, i then get another field upgrade, could i then go and unlock the Netbat and then the camo? etc?

I belive that you can only use field unlocks for the level directly above what you have permanently unlocked. The field upgrades stay for as long as you are on the server.

In your example, you can use one for the RDX, but not for the others. You would need to unlock the RDX with a rank unlock, then you could use a field upgrade for the Net Bat system.

You probably ranked up and chose the 'Select Unlock' screen instead of the Field Upgrade screen.

If it IS a bug (which I doubt) then don't let anybody know about it ;)

there is a bar in the upper left of the HUD that fills up as you do stuff your squad leader tells you to WHILE youre within a certain distance of him as well as the target he has chosen. so basically you lone wolves out there are screwed, field upgrade wise. stick with your squadleader, make sure he gives orders, follow those orders, and that bar should fill up multiple times. remember to stay on the server, because you lose the field upgrades if you change servers.

the easiest way i have found to get field upgrades is to be the squad leader myself (i always am anyway). constantly be giving your squad orders to attack and defend different control points. never use the "move" order, as it does not specifically target a certain point and thus gives no bonus to actions performed in that area. after you take a point, change the order from "attack" to "defend" and hang out for a couple minutes. kill any attackers and get some extra points before issuing the next attack order.

TITANS: best way to get squad leader/member success points. as soon as the shield goes down, tell your squad to attack the titan (or defend your own if youre feeling generous). then, make sure everyone goes inside the titan as well as staying close to you. every kill they get inside the titan will give extra points. i've gotten ridiculous amounts of squad leader success points defending and attacking titans. trust me.

one more thing. for the squad leader upgrades, you have to have unlocked them before you can choose them with a field upgrade, unlike the kit field upgrades which can be chosen and used as a field upgrade even if you haven't unlocked them. so my advice to the squad leaders out there is simply this: choose an unlock path you want to take and go with it. when you're done, get all the squad leader unlocks. then, if you want, go for other unlock trees. having the squad leader upgrades will help you get points faster for those later ranks and unlocks.

What im asking is if i get the RDX demo pack unlocked through field upgrades and then i die and decide to be engineer will i get the next unlock up on the engineer kit :confused:

No. You have to earn another field upgrade and then unlock the engineer upgrade that you want.

On this topic, how does a SL issue attack/defend commands? Same way as if your commander with the commander overview? If so, does it use the same key-bound for the commander overview?

Point and click.

If you aim at a silo, or flag, and hold down the T key, select issue order, the proper order will be issued on that flag/silo (attack if not controlled by you, defend if controlled by you)

You can also do it in the Full Map View

Ok I can ask for uav and all that, and hold t or whatever to send people to do stuff. But how do I tell them to do other stuff (ie, attack, defend, go, repair)
When right clicking on the map I only get a short list.

When right clicking on the map I only get a short list.You need to click right on what you want. i.e. you need to click directly on a flag/silo on a map and it will let you choose attack/defend.
