Can't spawn on my own titan

There is a bug that keeps me from spawning on my titan, the white spawn point doesn't even show up in the map. This happened in the demo too.

ya i get the Title problem often.

I'll be commander and spend my entire time in there. Next round I cant spawn. I usually just get an apc and pod up and stick there.

But definately a bug.

Hm, you try finding the white dot that represents the titan spawnpoint when there are two apc's and a flag below it at the same time. TOUGH LUCK!

I kept hitting caps lock and bringing up the "squad" tab, where the spawn points do not show up. They only show up if you select the "kit" tab. This proably isn't your problem, but I thought I'd share.

I had this bug once in my last game. Toward the end of the game and it never even showed the spawn point. Just got APC and launched, but still took longer.

same thing has happened to me before as well. and while we're on teh subject...why do some transport choppers allow you to spawn on them while others don't? and no, they're not full...the white dots don't even show up for them. i think it happened around the same time i experienced this titan spawn bug too, though. =P

they have to have been activated before. Like someone jumping in them and moving them. So like, when they are flying around u can spawn in them, or when they have been moved to the back of the other titan. Or while someone is in the drivers seat at ur titan. But it wont work as long as nobody has actually been in the transport and it sits in ur titan. I think its a way to keep the spawnpoints from massing up on the titan needlessly.

I can spawn for the 1st map, but not the second, I have to quit and rejoin to get it back.

When I had this bug, I also had a vehicle big as well. All the vehicles below the titan, I couldn't drive them. I could get in, hit the, gas, watch the wheels spin, but it was like they were in a box. And Titan Spawn points weren't even an option.

yeah the no spawn point on the titan is annoying. I was thinking it was on purpose though, because it only happens to me around the time the titan shield goes down.

No it happens a lot and i can't remember what conditions cause it. I think i remember someone saying that if the commander does something on the titan a certain way some people cant spawn on the titan.

This bug happened to me twice yesterday and it was really pissing me off.

I think that might be 2 separate bugs striking at the same time - the "can't move vehicles" I've seen in BF2 with the latest patch (Jalalabad, at the US start) [very rare to happen].

This still happens when the commander moves the titan to a different point on the map.
I had this problem once.. But.. its ok now, and im having great fun!

This happens pretty often, no friendly spawn point on titan hangar deck.
sometimes clicking between kit and squad will get it to display.

Yeah that usually works but not every time.This bug needs to be fixed in the next patch

I have also experienced this problem. I actually just did a search to find this thread to make sure I wasn't the only one. I don't think this problem is due to titan movement because this has happened to me from the very beginning of a map. I do hope they fix it though because I like getting into a transport at the beginning to get to a silo, it's much faster then taking the ground route. It also sucks when you want to defend your titan and can't spawn on it and can't find an apc to pod up.

This has happened to me a few times now.

But the first time it happened was when i started playing a round as commander, got bored and resigned... then the next round, no titan spawn.

(at first i thought it was bf2142's way of telling me "you dont wanna be titan commander any more, huh?... well dont bother coming aboard anymore, you wuss!... and you forgot our aniversary blah blah............etc")

so maybe its got something to do with the commander resigning?

Nope. It's just intermittent. I had it happen last night in a new game following a decent game as a squad lead. Unfortunately, I'd already accepted the position as commander before discovering I couldn't even spawn on our own titan... That made life interesting. No working around with spawn beacons since the commander doesn't get those. When I respawned, I had to snag a APC and jump to the titan, fortunately since I was commander I knew that it wouldn't wander to far from our uncap...

We still won, but man, what a hassle.
