Next Patch in Final Development Stages

The newest update on the Frontlines Status page (status.kaosstudios.com) has some information about the next PC patch along with a list of features. Take a look:

We are currently in the final stages of development of PC patch 1.2.0 and will start testing it shortly. We expect to release the patch in September.

The patch will include the following features:

• DLC1:
-- Boneyard Map
-- Conquer Mode
• Server Browser - Phase 2
• Joystick support
• PC Leaderboards - Unranked
• PC Leaderboards - Ranked
• Dedicated Server Tools

Hey. New here!

I just got the game and it's almost unplayable because my rig isn't powerful enough. However, that's not really an issue, because I'm waiting for my final upgrade parts, which should arrive soon. :) What concerns me though is that judging by what I've seen in the server browser, it seems awfully quiet. :|: Several servers but most of them are empty. Is it because of the current issues, or is it because the game isn't that good? Opinions?

It's because they released the game well before it was ready, and left out some of the things people wanted most like VOIP. At this point the game is DEAD, they are trying to keep people interested by releasing patches but it's way to little to late. Sorry to give you the bad news.

If that's true, it makes me laugh, because what do you usually see in the server info square in games like BF2, BF2142, COD4, Quake Wars and all the rest?? A TEAMSPEAK or VENTRILO IP address...

I sincerely hope not. I'd like to try it at least a few times... :(

I enjoy this game. Kaos is still working on the game and that says a lot to me. The game still needs a few things, hopefully they will come in time.

...that never get used because people just use the in game VOIP instead.
