Just a funny observation I thought I'd share.

If you look closely at the blade of the knife unlock with dogtag, you can read the words "DogTagger Dagger".

I thought this was pretty humorous, a little easter egg for us players. :laugh:

I'm not sure, most people are saying veteran knife badge. Which is probably true. I got it at 83 unique dog tags and 121 total dog tags. So it's definately before expert.

Nah. I just got it tonight.

I have 61 knife kills and 58 unique knife kills. I know I have more but the stats haven't fully updated, but when I pulled out my knife, I have the new one.

Nothing really special, just a knife with tags on it. Kinda neet I suppose.

BTW: All I have is the Bronze Collector Award.

A couple clan mates and I decided to check in on this and how you got the knife:

No Badges: Standard BJ-2
Broze Collector Badge: Collector Knife Unlock with bronze dog tag.
Silver Collector Badge: Collector Knife Unlock with silver dog tag.
Gold Collector: Collector Knife Unlock with gold dog tag. (Speculation at the moment)

3 of us tested it by verifying the following:
-I have a silver dog tag on mine and the Silver badge.
-Clan mate 1 had a bronze dog tag on his and the bronze badge.
-Clan mate 2 had a standard knife with no badge.
-Clan mate 2 got the bronze badge and recieved the bronze collector's knife.

Because I have like 14 unique dog tags and the collector pin and the collecter bronze medal, but my dagger is still the normal 1

I got it at bronze. But it said I had 34 tags in BFHQ. next day I had 80. So mucked up. and I am missing over half my pins.

Nah, I have the expert badge and the same silver dog tag on there. So unless it hasn't updated yet (BFHQ has my gold knife badge) I think there's only 1.

I'm tellin ya all you don't need some veteran or expert badge. I just have the bronze one and i have the knife. You just gotta get a lot of unique kills.

I need some help at getting the gold collector's badge. I don't understand what I am missing, but it says I have 161/150 knife kills and I know I've been in one round for a fact where I got over 20 knife kills.

Just got mine tonight after a day of knifing(I went knife only for about 8 games, now im in the top 50 knifers, had some rounds with 42 dog tags)

I just got it after receiving my Expert Knife Badge. I quit the game, and came back an hour later and there it was.

Also went up 2 ranks when I got that beautiful gold badge.

Im close to gold (around 127/150 kills I belive), you need 20 knifes in one round? not sure if I have that or not I think I have 17.... or it may be 27 ^^

You need 17 AFTER you have 150 global, it does not keep a record of what you did before the 150 global. I had a round with 42 knife kills, and it didn't keep that, so I needed to go get another 17 (which was np after being knife only all day ;)

You need 8 knife kills IASR for the Collectors Pin. I really want one of those daggers, I think I'll go only knife for a few rounds like Zagashi did.

Only go all knife on Cerbere, Berlin, and Camp Gilbratar, any others are to big and a waste of your time.
Knifing tips:

Stay away from open ground, stick to walls and cover.

Force your enemy to find you, that way while hes looking for you, you can attempt to flank him.

Enemy squads are you best friends, flank them and rack up an instant 4-6 kills. This applies to people capping flags, especially when prone.

Never sprint directly behind a target who is sprinting infront of you, if he stops, youll fly infront of him giving yourself away.

Snipers are just candy, and if they try to pistol, its incredibly easy to dodge, force them to get their knife out to and finish them.

If all else fails, and your toe to toe with a support infront of you, Dance Dance Dance.

Unique=new person, so the stat padding dont work no more, and Titan knifing is a NEVER a waste of your time, if anything its time better spent then any of the aforementioned maps

Hmm Im not sure, on my BFHQ deal it shows me with 17/17 or whatever then 13x/150 for the gold so i think it saved it and I am just working the global now.

Same for my other badges one part is done and im working on the secondary.

Hmm weird, didn't show the 17 out of 17 for me until i went and killed 17 people after getting to 150.

Im at work now so I cant confirm it, but I know out of the 2 stats the top one is greyed out because its complete and the bottom one (the global) is white with a XXX/YYY number wich shows what I need for the next badge. I have sliver already and I know its XXX/150 so I know its showing me the gold badge stats.

So unless when I hit 150 kills global that top number goes white and extends I already have met my prereq's for the gold in kills for a single round.
