Boost Mobile Gaming (http://www.boostmobilegaming.com/#sec=feature&subSec=54) has posted their review of Battlefield 2142 recently. They have gave the game an 70/100. Read part of the review below:
Gameplay:
The gameplay in Battlefield 2142 is the same as every other Battlefield game ever played and not a whole lot more. You still choose the class you want to play and your spawn point. The nodes meant for capture may be graphically improved but that's about the only difference.
The addition of the new ranks and unlockables is a nice change but with how long it took to unlock all of the extras in Battlefield 2, you'll start to wonder if they're needed. Sure it's always nice to have more unlockables, but for those who play BF2 on release remember fondly that the series has a history making gamers play a ridiculous amount of time to unlock fairly useless upgrades, Battlefield 2142 takes the the same stance. Although not as tedious as BF2, the new iteration has monotonies of its own.
