Well it seems EA (http://www.ea.com) has released the content that was to come along with the collector's edition today. To grab both the making of video as well as the soundtrack to Battlefield 2142, click here (http://www.ea.com/official/battlefield/2142/us/preorderexclusive.jsp).

wow, how stupid of EA to make it public.

Relax, it's not public. I'm not able to access it. Now, that doesn't mean I won't find "some" way to find it on the net.

I owned EVERY game, prima guide and expansion/booster pack from BF series.

I figure I've paid for those extras in some shape or form even if I elected to go the DVD route for BF2142. :)

No, the collectors edition costs the same as the normal edition.

You just don't get a box and disks.

Anyway I had the soundtrack since the beta 1. :laugh:

Oh come ON. I could compile that soundtrack in less time than my download took. Just take the load music from the game files and convert them all to OGG. A batch file can do it all in one quick go.

I can't believe it took them this long to release this crap.

It was nice to see and hear from the DICE folks about the game and the process. If you're a fan you more or less know what's going to be said, but it's still nice. It was cool seeing the concept art, does anyone know if that stuff is on the internet anywhere?

It would be very cool to have a lithograph of one of those city scenes. What do you think DICE? Say $60-80 for a 16"x20"? ;)

Well that fell flat on it's face then. So much for the collectors edition. I'm much happier with a boxed copy anyway, I can sell it in the future.

I bet I know what is on the making of video...An art director toiling over his outsourcing schedules, and picking the most generic **** they could find to fill in all the blanks about the year 2142 (landscape, weapons, outfits). Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the game for what it is, but I will never give it credit for what it is not: inventive.

I liked it...but I wish that they could have included some CD Art for the Soundtrack for those of us that want to burn it to a CD/Lightscribe CD.

I got it on EAD anyway, diddnt order it for the extra content, why would i want yet another case to clutter my room with, i just chucked handfuls of cd's away as it is!

I found the film to be interesting, nice to see that they are stuck in a working environment and not constantly playing pool or table tennis.... oh hang on a minute....
I think DICE have spent to much on lighting there offices, perhaps they could have stuck with normal lights and spent the left overs on widescreen monitors [/hint] :p

I think its a good that they made the extra content, whilst i dont forsee an Oscar for the work it does at least introduce you to the other side of how the game gets made and how what happens to the feedback.

Well, I won the collectors edition in a contest, so at least I don't feel stupid about buying it or anything...

Its suppoused to be a special thanks, but its not there, so, it seems that theyr not thankfull of the beta testers for their help.

Nope it is not public. It is tied to your EA account.
So if you have logged into EA page with your account, and you bought off the downloader you'll be able to download.
Some people are just talking out of their arses. Don't worry about it ;)

No, your right it was way to much people, but the way it was done, it didn’t show any love put into it, its plain, not what I hoped, since in the video the guy make it sound like something more, something with a little more effort to show that you actually care, a dog tag that has to be deciphered, to me its not the way to do it,
