The guys from Xtreme-Gamer (http://www.xtreme-gamer.com/) have posted up their review of Battlefield 2142 today, giving the game an 89/100. Here's what they had to say:

Battlefield 2142 looks great if you have the hardware to run it with the options set on high, and even on lower settings it still looks very nice. Our test rig sported duel Geforce 7950 GX2s, which is essentially quad SLI. We were able to play the game with all options maxed out at a resolution of 1600 x 900. Frame rates were silky smooth throughout. Save one lockup while the system connected to the Battlefield 2142 server, no other technical problems reared up to spoil the fun. Explosions are generally impressive and the new vehicles are rendered with appropriate futuristic detail. Sound is equally well done, with beefy explosions and satisfying weapons effects.

I think this is a very well rounded review and a bit fair. They forgot to mention medic in the "5" kits, there are 6. I never forget the medics ( thanks guys, you know who you are ).

The only other thing I thought was wrong in the article was the advertising, that is not on yet.

Otherwise, it was a well thought out article about the game and compared things a bit with previous Battlefield titles.

Ha, I feel like I am writing a review for the review.

Overkill rig for the game. I run everything maxed with a single 7800GTX.

Yeah, definitely overkill. A single GPU will run the game just fine. Unless you can get 2560*1600 or larger res.

They lost all credit by giving the game an 89/100.

lmao, there are even more morons than in BF2. People don't seem to grasp the concept of Titan at all.
