Right, first post. Been sort of a lurker around here and totalbf2.com for a while and seeing as i got some invaluable help from the forums, I thought it was time to return the favour. There were a few Titan Drop threads around so here goes:

Troop Transporter Pin req's are 10 Titan drops. That means you have to get in a transport heli (not an APC), hover over their Titan and 10 people have to pod out of the heli onto the titan. Doesn't work with APCs as far as I know - and I've tried. :p
I would post a SS to prove my point, but apparently i forgot to take one.

If you can survive without being taken out by the AA ;)

That'se easy. Get a LAN party, get em to respawn in the transport every time they die. Also, get a recon/ engineer and a support (for extra ammo) onto the top, and blow the turrets :D. Medal recieved

Actually I find that quite easy....you just have to hover just over the two AA guns. There's a considerable space that isn't covered by their arcs of fire - if you don't get shot down on approach, anyway. Once you get there, the only real danger is AT and their gunship...

yes, I did it easily. Make sure you get to an altitude above 250m and then hover

so the best way is to hover high directly over their AA guns?

I imagine if you hover over one AA gun, you'll still be in the range of the other...

If there IS a sweet spot, I'd love to hear it ;)

When I am piloting the transport, I usually hover right over the lower deck, the AA guns can't point down enough to hit me. But I think it might be too low because I don't remember getting any titan points.

If you really want to get the pin just sit as the pilot in the transport, everyone else spawns and jumps out and it gives you the points/pin.

If you really want to hover then go on the bottom entrance deck, they AA guns can't fire that low, that's also the best way of actually not being shot on the way to the titan, just go straight down after you leave your titan, and pop up on the bottom deck where the guns can't hit you.

Make sure you don't hover too high. Last night I had the transport around 400 meters, people kept spawing and bailing right onto the titan, but I didn't get any points for it.

yes, it is too low..you have to be high enough for the pods to deploy from the transporter when someone bails....ive gotten 6 points before, but everyone always finds the apcs much more fun for some reason....meh

Haha, about 3 days too late.

I was using the pods in the titan to shoot myself up and land back on the titan and continue, stupid pin dont discribe what you have to do. But I have it now.

Best thing to do is just go up REALLY high over their titan so the guns cant own you.
