Noob Question on respawning

In Titan mode we had 3-4 silos and OUR Titan Shield went down so I wanted to respawn on our titan to help defend. Everytime I died it automatically respawned me on the ground at the base we started from at the beginning of the map and didn't give me a choice of where to respawn. When your titan shields are down can you still respawn there to defend? I was thinking it was something to do with the server I was playing on, maybe set up that way.

Maybe you were set to respawn at a wrong point. tap ENTER, then select the spawn point (white circle) on your titan. Happy Titan Camping

And yes, you can respawn when shields are down

Yes, you HAVE to make sure that you are actually clicking on your Titan spawn point. The Titan may either have been directly over the main spawn and you were not able to click on it, or the Titan had been moved to another area on the map. Look for the blue Titan outline (it is quite faint) on the spawn selection screen.

Actually he is telling the truth. I was on the Russian team or whatever its called, and it did NOT give me a choice to spawn on the Titan. I could only spawn on the squad leader on it or whatever transport happened to get on it. The titan also barely moved the entire round so its not because I was looking in the wrong spot. This is an extremely annoying bug that is rare, but extremely annoying when it happens.

Ditto for me, I think I was on the PAC team as well. I had to pod up to my own Titan to defend it. :p

It never got to the map to chose a respawn point, soon as my respawn timer ended it automatically respawned me to the beginning of the map respawn point. I can't remember where our titan was at the time. Do you have to choose a respawn point BEFORE your respawn timer expires during certain instances? Usually when I die (in most servers) the respawn timer expires, the map then comes up and then I chose a place to respawn.

This sounds silly, but try clicking on another spawn point, then click on the Titan spawn.

I've run into a situation repeatedly where I can't spawn on a squad leader, silo, etc. without "resetting" and clicking elsewhere on the map, then highlighting the needed spawn point.

Like I said, sounds silly, but it's worked for me in the past.

Do you have to choose a respawn point BEFORE your respawn timer expires during certain instances?

If your last spawn point is destroyed/dead (vehicle/spawn beacon/squad leader), you'll have to pick a new spawn point.

Also, there's a bug where if you switch teams (voluntarily or not) you can't spawn on your titan until the next round/map. It's extremely annoying.

The titan is buggy at times where you can't spawn in on it. I have had times the only way I could spawn on my titan is if we had a transport ship not in use sitting in the hangar bay in which case I'd spawn on that.

I wasn't able to do that since when my respawn timer ended it automatically respawned me back where we started the map at. As far as I know once I have actually respawned I can't bring up the map and choose to be located somewhere else until I die again.

You can bring up the spawn menu at any time. Default is the return key.

While you're in the map screen changing your respawn point, be sure and spend a couple seconds joining a squad. This will give you another spawn point as you'll now be able to spawn with your squad leader when you die (as well as other squad benefits.)

Like I said, sounds silly, but it's worked for me in the past.I don't think you get it. There is no spawn point at all, its not a white, green, red, or whatever color circle. There is absolutely no circle at all to click to spawn on. Or at least thats the problem I'm getting.
