I have a little tip for all the people with G5's or G7's, Is the spawn beacon surrouned by enemies and you dont want to land near it, well while falling crank ur dpi up to 2000 and spin like mad, you can end up really far away from the beacon!

dots/inch... basicly how sensitive is your mouse, you can make it move faster/slower with buttons on it.

btw you wont travel further if you spin...... just press the W (forward button)

Nice! I put up squad beacons all the time and try to figure out how to move a bit out of the way. I'll try that today, I just got my G5 yesterday and im LOVING IT. One setting for vehicles, one for soldiering, one for sniping.

I might get one as well. i seem to have a problem with fine tune aiming, thought it was my crappy mouse pad but mayby not.

You do know you can set those independently in the control options too right? No fancy mouse needed! However, it is nice for accurate sniping though.

um what buttons do you press to pilot the pod (while falling) when spawning on a beacon

Or just do little semi circles with your back towards the place you want to go, that way there isn't a chance of you going into the maps borders and dying.

I tried that, and it worked :)
I ended up far away from where the beacon was :)

you cant use the directional keys when your dropping onto a spawn becon. When you pod out of the titan or an APC you can use the directional keys.

I find that method to be more effective when there's a rooftop nearby.

Just 1. Spawn 2. Back to rooftop 3. Do ~180 degree turns

I remember the days when almost no-one knew of this trick..... I was called a hacker numerous times when i surprised spawn-campers with some cold steel in the back......

Most expensive gaming mice now feature some kind of DPi ajust. There are now ones with a DPI of 3000 and some even higher, wonder where you would end up then. See yeah one the far side!

On a side note, my DPI ajust on my G5 seems to be messed up since the last driver update. Also the newer firmware is a must for anyone with the G5.

Yep - that's the way to do it - no need to change your mouse sensitivity, just turn your back to where you want to go and waggle back and forth.

then go knife those beacon campers ;-)
