How Does The Point System Work?

How does the points system work in this game? Do I get extra points for my defence pins and extra points depending on my amount of kills or what?

I second the question. If I finish the round with say...21 points, 11 from medic revives and 10 from kills, how many go towards my next unlock? Do I get a bonus for being on the winning side? And what's the commander bonus?
