Sneaky Tactics: what are yours?

So, I thought I was pretty sneaky today when I planted some mines on top of the shields over the enemy air hangar on their Titan. Every time an enemy would take off, the mines would follow them, and then, ...BOOM!

I kept laughing so hard because these guys must have had no idea how they were getting killed by Motion Mines on their Titan.

Later on, I came back and planted some RDX at the front of their hangar, and again, as they passed, ...BOOM!

Sneaky Tactics make for some seriously entertaining gameplay.

I thought we'd all get a laugh out of sharing how sneaky we are.

:) I put the sentry turret on top of the titan, the 2nd floor outside part where the drop down part to the vents is on the enemy titan.

People who try and get round the back get a suprise :D

When I know we're about to lose, I run outside where you jump off the rear of the titan and drop a sentry turret there. Once our titan is destroyed, my gun feeds on the enemies trying to jump off before the explosion. Muhahahaha!!! If the gun doesn't kill them, I'm already on the ground aiming up firing away at the ones coming down from parachutes.

you are so mean xD you can place rdx on the shields too, so you only have to use one at a time ^^

Hmm, since they took out the badge for jumping off the titan, I have no more reason to do so.
So whenever we lose, I place claymores all over the spots where enemies tend to run most, and hide in one of the exit corridors with my knife out. In the chaos, you'll be able to knife 80% of the people passing through your corridor, since noone really cares about you anymore, and the other 20% are blown up by your claymores.

And of course the "sniping under exploding titan pwns:p". So does boobytrapping the landing zone ^^

I've refined this basic idea to a science, if I may say so myself. Instead of placing the sentry on the ledge facing the door, I place it in the corner next to the door facing the ledge. That way, people running outside, in their haste, don't see it and are less likely to take an alternate route or simply blow it up. I make sure that the sentry is placed at whichever door has the straighter, more obvious path to the edge so that it can keep facing the same direction all the time and doesn't have to search from side to side. I then wait in a similar position next to the other door and engage people with my LMG.

I usually end up getting fewer kills than I would have by spending the same amount of time inside the titan toward the end, but there's something really appealing about killing people in their final rush for freedom.

The best has to be knifing people when they're about to jump off your titan :D

straight away at ebginning of titan round. as recon fly to enemy base. use C4 or wateva it is to blow up 2 out of 3 of thier systems, probably the scan and UAV. then go to the 2 barrelled gun and take out the titan guns. 4 titan guns down, lots of teamwork points alrede, when ur done u can take a tank and come from behind enemy.

EDIT: also if ur lucky enemy commander is on board repairing titan guns. that means u get titan destructor pin quickly. 35-40 points towards next rank in about 2 min. :P

spose if ur lucky enough to get close to an enemy one then eya. funniest one is sneaking up on an enemy transport and putting RDX on it, then once they have taken silo, got in air u get 6-7 kills and take the silo back if ur lucky

Awesome. I'm definitely going to have to try these tactics next time I'm on-line. It might be a good way to get my explosives pin/badge. :)

Someone got me with that. I was doing the Pod-flank move on my Titan, and I come across this med pack sitting in the vent. I figure it is what it is, and run past it to kill whatever jerk is in the vent. Boom.

Takes me back to the days of Goldeneye on N64. I loved putting the proxy mines on the armor pickup. Great tactics. Also try putting some of the motion mines on the rear of your own titan aft er the shields are down. The choppers may be able to come in umder the AA guns, but they can't avoid those mines.

This is some great stuff, but since I play as assault my idea of sneaky is pulling out my Otus and getting some knife kills. :D
The recon drone can give your position away with low cover, but in urban areas it is brutal. ;)

There's several ways to play the "exploding titan kills" game.

One way is to hide in the exit corridor to the landing pad and knife people as they rush in.

Another is to claymore the exits, and rdx common paths people use to run out.

That's at least 4 or 5 kills before the game ends, and maybe a few dogtags :)

I do this with my motion mines. I will often place them around the vehicle spawns of a silo that I am either attacking or defending. Enemies who think they're going to own me easily by getting into some armor are proven terribly wrong.
