I am absolutely getting OWNED on Gibraltar. If I can stay alive for 2 min, it's a miracle. I only play medic and if I can learn to stay alive, I could really help my team out. Gibraltar is a bloodfest and a good medic could be crucial to winning. If anyone has any tips for me, it would be greatly appreciated.

Playing as EU, fight for your life, keep an eye on the rear bases.

Playing as PAC, be sniper and pick off the gunners on the rooftops.

There is no tactic to stay alive. Its either attack or be attacked. In the process you will die, but if you have some good teammates, you will either lock PAC down or overrun the EU soldiers.

Some rounds on Gibraltar can be pretty bad. Awfull KD ratio. Sometimes luck is on your side. But the best tactic is to defend/attack, keep an eye on the flags you have and look on map, when UAV is up.

Most powerfull class to be on that map is the Assault class with the Voss. But thats just me.

For Gibraltar, I would reccomend keeping to the rooftops and catwalks. Find yourself a nice rooftop, put down a spawn beacon, and you and your squad can easily take out any incoming forces. But the map is best for snipers or support.

Oh, and watch out for that walker :)

tips for staying alive:
-drop a med hub and heal whenever below 85 hp
-Reload your weapon whenever below half a clip - enough support are usually around to re-supply
-Make sure you're handgun is easily bound so you can whip it out when you deplete your main
-Always stay moving - tons of snipers on this map;
-Take advantage of the cover; tons of it on this map
-Always spot enemies for your team.
-And most importantly - JOIN A SQUAD

Unlock the defribulator and revive downed soldiers, they'll return the favor.

Best way to stay alive? Dystek Pulse Meter + Shotty. Well, maybe not a great way to stay alive, but a good way to get a good kill:death ratio. This is probably my favorite map just because I can run around with huge shotty streaks. So I get my streak pin + close combat pin. Also taking out groups of 3 or 4 solo is pretty fun :D.

QFT that and an awesome SL and squad. It is IMHO the map where the Clark Shotgun comes into its own, more so than Cerbere.

Players die alot in Gibraltar, my tip...move and shoot and just keep moving, watch your six and coordinate movements with your squad.

Defenders tend to sh!t APMs so more often than not, someone has to set those mines off and take one for the team, please revive that dude.

I never play medic, but the good ones usually hang back just a little so they can cover the rear and revive as necessary. Have your med hub out when sprinting...frustrates support players like me to no end:laugh:

Get on the rooftops and pick people off with single fire.

Thanks for all the replies guys ;)

Anyone know how long the medpacks stay on the ground? My new strategy: run to a flag, drop medpack behind cover, run to next flag, drop medpack behind cover, etc.... Of course I will try to heal/revive my teammates along the way.

From my experiences, medpacks stay on the ground until you deploy another one - then the old one goes away. Also, the medpack will disappear if your kit goes away too.

revive & heal your teammates, keep them alive and they'll keep you alive.

The single most important thing for the PAC to do is take a rear flag. Any flag but the second one will do. If you can take a rear flag and defend it, then all the flags between that one and you uncap will fall eventually. If you manage to take the EU rear most flag, it's almost always a win.

There are so many places for you to hide on your way back there. Take your time, and converge on a flag with at least 3 people so it turns relatively quickly, otherwise you'll get arty'd.

If you're EU, defend that 2rd flag, and the ways past that to the 3rd. If you can keep the PAC pinned in their uncap or at the first flag, then the train yard becomes a killing field.

that is defiantly the best strategy and the way to counter it is to put down emp/motion mines in the two streets in front of the second base

I've noticed Health and Ammo hubs also go away at different intervals when there are alot of people around. Leading me to believe that the hubs disappaear after dispensing a certain amount of health/ammo.

There are a number of times I've witnessed my ammo pack "poofing" in less than 30 seconds inside a titan when 6+ teammates around me are spamming grenades.
