View Full Version : Silo Numbers All Mixed Up

Some of my clanmembers and I have found out a bug, we get different numbers for the silos on some of our maps, most notably Minsk and Verdun.

Below are screenshots of first mine, then my clanmember's maps. Notice silos 5, 2, 4, and 1 are all in different positions between the screenshots.

Doesn't look like a bug to me, looks like you're on opposing teams. As such, the silos would be numbered differently, with the first silo being closest to your Titan starting point.

We were not on opposing teams, I am =SFV= Sway and the other person that took the screenshots is =SFV= Matt320, who is in my squad.

My guild has noticed this as well, we are on same team, and on Teamspeak and will say "Lets go to Silo 2", some will go in wrong direction. Havent noticed what maps it happens on but it happens alot.

Yeah turns out Dice is addressing this in the next patch. Supposably the next patch is going to be coming in late November, and is going to address very basic things; this was one of things they mentioned. Hopefully they stick with the basics and don't change aspects of the game itself like they did with BF2.

The problem is because some of the guys are probably using Static Map and others are using the default where the mini-map rotates depending on which way you are facing.


Static Map is an option under the HUD settings. I have it enabled and I see different silo numbers to my clan mates as well while playing on the same side. What they are going to address in the patch is make the silos all the same regardless if you have this option selected.

The question is why and heck did they make the numbers change just because I chose to not have my mini-map rotate. North is still North, but since I want North to always be UP they decided to change all the silo numbers....wtf?

But anyway...thats your problem. Have everyone select static map or remove it until the patch comes out and you will all see the same silos.
