The Pilum is the Anti Vehicle Rifle, theyre good for killing... well vehicles, and sometimes infantry if youre lucky.

what he said.

It doesn't warn vehicles either since it's a rifle.

The pilum is God's gift to the engineer class. When used by a competent player, it can be an envaluable weapon on the field. :)

The round moves a lot faster than rockets do, but they only go in a straight trajectory and don't have tracking. Of course this lack of straight tracking means that the vehicle doesn't get the lock-on beeping.

It is God's gift to us Engineers. I use it lots. One shot kills on the hover tank in the rear are easy with this rifle. Especially since they get no warning.

I got the anti air first to make up for BF2 deaths by airpower(does well works like BF2 aa and is effective as) but I have used the armor rifle and I can't wait to get it. It is nasty

Interestingly, pilum means 'javelin' in Latin. The 'Javelin' being a modern-day anti-tank weapon in use today.
