What do you guys think the best combo is?
Personally I play with a close friend, me as engineer and him as support... it's an awesome team, and without being too big headed when we're both on form with a good commander we're pretty much unstoppable.
Note: We stay away from Titans; if we play this mode after the shields are down we stay on the ground and take silos.
As far as defence/attack goes the firepower is the best against both forms of attack, ground, air and foot... my support always has EMP grenades and I always have my PDS-1 (tank tracker). The PDS-1 w/ the DysTek Pulse Meter and emp nades/motion mines and emp mines makes for one hell of a combat force if applied correctly. We found through rotation that the best squad leader was the engineer, due to the support generally being targeted more (you wouldn't have thought it).
Failing the eng/support combo a duo engineer team if both in armour with v2 DysTek Repairs are a force to be reckoned with.
"Why no assault?" Meh, there's always a pawn running around with a defrib trying to get rev scores... if another friend is up for it then he'll always go assault as the third option, but generally we don't die enough to worry about the big grim himself .
I might write tactics up if there's interest, but give the combo a go for yourself to see if you feel the same as us. I expect most of you are a bit sceptic as to leaving an assault out of a duo, but just give it a try.
