Well now u think ur up to be an engineer, well these tips are a great way to help you out becoming one.
Engineers has 2 duties, repair and destroy. Repair damages friendly vehicels/aircraft and command HQ buildings, easy points. Also destroying part your duty is to destroy enemy vehicels/aircraft.
Now here are a few weapon info that will be useful, and items as well.
Standard EU AT Weapon: It got 4 missiles and you can guide them all, but as soon you lay your crosshairs on an enemy vehicel your enemy will know he/she is being targeted and will either run like hell, try to find you to blow you up, or use its shields.
Standard PAC AT: Same thing as EU but 1 rocket but same punch.
Koenig H-AVR: This AT weapon is the best AT weapon around. It acts like a sniper rifle basically, 1 shot, hope to god you kill it. The good thing about this weapon is that it packs a punch and it doesn't let your enemy know you are targeting him, but you can't guide it.
SAAW 86 Anti-Air: Primarily use as AA weapon, help get rid of enemy aircraft in the skies, it will auto-lock on em.
Here are few things you need to know about taking out a vehicel/aircraft
Ground Base Vehicels
- Tanks armor is hardest in its front, back is weakest. 5-6 shots if firing at its front, 3 or less at its back.
- APC is not as powerful armor wise but hard in its front and weak at back, 3 shots or less taking it out at the back, around 5 in its front.
- Jeeps, usually 1 shot will kill them regardless.
- Walkers are a bit tricky to kill since it can move its head in a 180 direction. but hit it at its back to be more effective.
- Some vehicels carries shields, so when targeting with guided missles let them use their shield first, after it goes down fire with everything you got. Koenig H-AVR will not alert them so when you fire it at them wait to see if they use their shields.
Aircraft base Vehicels
- Heli Assault and Transport will go down with 3 shots or less, but its harder to hit them, recommending without AA rockets wait til they level or land, then fire, if flying use an AA stationary gun unless u have AA rockets.
- Remember they have shields and can be alerted if your targeting them unless you use Koenig H-AVR.
Items important to use to help your team win the game,
NetBat Vehicle ID, this will enable you to see enemy vehicels, once you get to see them the squad your in will also be able to see them as well. This can help alert your team of enemy armor.
IL-29 Motion Mine, these things are powerful and can kill basically any vehicel with teh right ammount of em including enemy aircraft as well. Lay a few down near the flag or silos then wait til they come close and get blown up.
PDS-1, uses radar to detect enemy vehicels in a short range area, can help alert your team.
DysTek Repair V2.0, fixes vehicels alot faster.
IL-14 EMP, EMP mine, nuff said
AE Defuser, it can disable enemy c7 bombs placed on the map or titan.
Remember, being an engineer will be tough at first because your primary role is AT and repairs, not infantry combat. So be with a squad incase your up close with an enemy. Also remember to repair friendly vehicels, its always good for your team mates to drive into battle with full health.
