Can someone please explain to me how to obtain this pin? It says 10 Titan air drops. If that means from the pod launchers on the titan, I've had way more than 10 in a round. Thanks.

i think it means u pilot a helicopter, and when people pod out and successfully land u get a titan air drop? anybody know for sure?

fly a heli above the enemy titan and hopefully people will spawn in it and pod out of it. I find that it works best at 320m to avoid fire, altho any higher and you won't get points

Hover over the middle of the enemy titan, their guns cannot go beyond 90 degrees. it's hard to hold steady though. 10 Spawns and you get a 20pnt pin. Sit there for a few minutes and be lucky enough to not get shot down and you can gather a ton of points. Its really tough though and easy pickings for the AA guns.

I find that most people are too n00btastic to even think of shooting down a transport hovering 100m+ over their titan. HAHA N00B PWNAGE!

I got 117 team points from this and 11 troop transporter pins in a round. I got accused of exploiting and had several kick votes against me.

Why does this not work for me? I was just playing a game where I hovered at 400m above the enemy titan, with several dozen people podding out from me, and I didn't receive a single point.

i think the 400m part is where you are going wrong

Once you get over a certain height it no longer counts as titan drops. I usually hover around 315-325. It's possible to rack up huge points doing this if you have a team consistently spawning on you. I guess this is DICE's way of making up for the constant TK's you get transporting people around :p

Hey I got a problem trying this I cant seem to keep the transport in hovermode Either I hit the W key and end up with speed making me go forward or the S key and lose all my speed and drop like a rock Whats the method to just make it hold postion over a area I know I've done it before but cant remenber how

To hover is a gunship: hold S
To hover in a transport: keep you nose level and tap W whenever you are losing altitude.

Any tips for staying above the titan. As soon as you enter the transport the titans seem to disappear from the minimap.

I've seen people do this and get over 3000 points..course they were exploiting.

You should probably search around, but this was changed in one of the patches. People now have to spawn in your air transport when it is ~500m from the enemy titan, you then fly over there and they pod out.

This was obviously changed because it was massively exploited.

So is this guide still useful?

yeah I spent 30 min one round just hovering over flags and then the enenmy titan...was every useful people kept spawning and podding to those spots...got no points at all though. far too tough to get the titan drop points...and largely irrelevant. hovering at 320 or so above the titan is safe and somewhat usefull....maybe even better than having it on deck. but flying in each time.....you should just land it on the deck.

I did this for an entire round once, got something like 30 people to drop out, and not a single driver ability point.

Then today, I simply put an attack marker on their titan and started getting points for drops. Do you have to have a marker? and yeah, it is hard to hold steady that high up.

You need to be 500 metres from the Titan when people spawn in it. Then they need to pod out in the Titan radius, get your mates to spawn on you and you will surely get it.

Yeah, makes me interested to see what'll happen if an enemy gunship or an engy with a SAAW (me) comes along ;) ...think instant flight school test :p

This is no longer possible as of patch 1.25, you must now carry all passengers from your Titan, hover less than 100M above the enimy Titan and have them bail out, in order for you to get the points. You can no longer get points from hovering above the Titan and having team members spawn on you and pod onto the Titan, as you need to carry all passengers from your Titan first. However, for those of you still playing the demo, If you get a friend in a transport with you, when you are above the enimy Titan, get them to rapidly change seats (F1, F2, F1, F2...) and you will get a large amount of points.
