Hey, 2 things. FYI, the totalcrysis RSS news feeds do not seem to be working, where the rest are.

Also, and I imagine this has been suggested before, why on earth is there seperate registration for each section? The only reason I posted this here is because I am disinclined to sign up again on what is essentially a different section of the same forum.

Post that at TotalCrysis.com

I know it's silly and I WISH they'd just set up one account for all forums ...

Easier said than done. ;)

I'll look into the RSS feed.

Yeah, I imagine it's because different people do different jobs on different sites.

It doesn't me a whole lot...I have signed up for TotalBF2, TotalBF2142, and TotalFlightSim.com. I'll sign up for TotalCrysis when it's released for sure.

If this was a phpbb forum, I'd offer to do it for you, but I do understand thats its not easy to do. However, I think it would bring your network a bit closer together.

Thanks in advance for sorting the rss feeds

I think it'd be almost impossible to do in a practicle way, especially since any software update would screw it up and db maintenance could potentially take all the sites down at once.
I think an easier way would be to change registration so a new user would register on all the total sites from a single registration form, not a perfect suggestion but least headache to do. Existing users would become 'network' registered next time they register on another site which would at least allow them to agree to a new set of T&C's so new sites could be set up with populated user tables.
Horribly messy way of doing it but equally six sites where usernames may relate to random people is also a little messy and open to abuse.

It wouldn't be as hard as you think - you'd need some sort of telnet access to the server, your own dedicated box and multiple sites running off of different folders on the server..

Then you could make each vB point to the same db - with the same user/pass.

Everyone would globally be part of the network.

Id guess total uses more than one server which is most likely half the headache.
Also vbb's have a knack of trying to make you commit suicide if you dont do exactly as they tell you to.
